Bus Driver Gets Punched 16 Times for Asking Passenger to…

At 10 PM on April 21, an intoxicated man named Mr. Li got on a public bus without a mask on and after having had a lot of alcohol. Despite the bus driver’s repeated demands asking Mr. Li to put his mask on, he refused.

Soon after, Mr. Li got up from his seat, walked over to the driver to shout, and started punching him in the face. Despite the driver, who we will name Mr. Wang, sounding the alarm and calling the police, the aggravated passenger continued to punch him in the head. 

Seeing that Mr. Wang would not open the door himself, Mr. Li walked back to the middle of the bus, grabbed the emergency hammer, and banged on the door window in an attempt to escape, in vain. 

Seeing that the hole in the window wasn't big enough, Mr. Li walked over to the driver once again, punched him in the head a few more times and then returned to his seat.

　He was sentenced to three years and three months in prison in accordance with the provisions of Paragraph 3 of Article 114 and Article 67 of the Criminal Law of the People's Republic of China.
