2900 Employees Quit From Company in 1 Day Over Disgusting Thing

A netizen reported that an angry scene occurred on Sept 5, when a company based in Kunshan, Jiangsu province, was handing out employee I.D cards.

The video shows three men dressed in red and claiming to be the company's training staff handing out employee I.D cards at the workbench.

However, there is something unusual about the way they issue the cards.

The staff repeatedly read out the names of the employees, then dropped one I.D card after another on the floor. Each employee who needed to get I.D had to walk in front of them, bend down and pick it up in a manner similar to bowing.

This video enraged netizens who deemed the act rude and insulting.

Some netizens furiously denounced the behavior as an offense to the employees.

Others pointed out that this is enough to show that the company culture does not respect its employees.

As the buzz grew, the company released a statement about the video on Sept. 5:

Regarding this matter, our company immediately investigated and made the following statement and commitment:

1. Lead the team to apologize to the staff for the wrongdoing and disrespect of employees.

2. Re-examine and improve the management and training of training personnel, and carry through the concept of caring for employees.

3. Strengthen on-site inspection and management from supervisors.

The statement did not say how the three staff who dropped the cards on the floor would be dealt with.

However, the apology failed to win back the trust and goodwill of the staff.

Initially, the companies had 3,000 employees, but on September 6,  2,900  employees quit their jobs.

There was a long queue at the gate of the company, and most of the employees came to go through the procedures of resigning.

Some employees expressed their feelings, stating that they won't work for a disrespectful factory.
