Making "porn videos" to earn a living?

This couple tried it,  and they were prosecuted!

Recently, Liandu District people's Procuratorate of Lishui City, Zhejiang province sued couple Liu and Lu for making, selling, and spreading obscene articles for profit.

According to the Liandu District People's Procuratorate in Lishui city, Liu, born in 1996, met her boyfriend of the same age, Mr. Lu, on campus. After two years of dating, the two moved out of the student dormitory and rented a house off-campus.

In the rented room, the couple will browse pornography websites together and shoot "short videos" of themselves.

"When I was browsing other people's pages, I saw a lot of people making a lot of money by posting attractive photos and text ads on the Internet," Lu recalled. “After that, my girlfriend and I talked about shooting some pornographic videos and pictures to attract others to buy them and earn some additional money."

At first, they promoted "homemade videos" on social media platforms such as Weibo and Twitter.

After collecting customer fees, they added QQ or WeChat friends and sent the price list to customers, who buy pornographic videos and pictures from them through WeChat and Alipay transfer.

The couple illegally made more than 530,000 yuan from selling pornographic materials, videos and pictures between May 2018 and April 2020, according to an investigation.

Both may face more than 10 years in prison

It is understood that the couple graduated from the same university, and Mr. Lu also worked as an intern in a well-known Internet company after graduation. But perhaps, because shooting pornographic videos provided them with easy money, they chose to earn the easy way rather than working hard.

After graduating from the university in June 2019, the two quit their jobs within half a year, filming and selling pornographic materials at home for profit instead.

"We bought a car, we bought a house by making these videos. Lured by the influx of money, we slowly went astray. We could have worked for a better future through hard work, like our classmates, but now we can only reflect in prison." Ms. Liu is remorseful about her mistake.

The prosecutor said the circumstances of the case were particularly serious, and the two may face more than 10 years in prison and be fined accordingly.

The prosecutor reminded them that shooting and selling pornographic videos has a negative impact on their privacy and reputation. As young people, they should respect themselves and get paid for their work through legal channels and personal efforts. They should not break the law and ruin their future due to fear of hard work and low salary.
