It is challenging to truly describe music in a few words. We all know how it makes us feel, and we know what we like when we hear it. Henry Wadsworth Longfellow once described music as "the universal language of mankind."
To our CIS musicians, music is much more than something they just listen to or play for fun. Our students have a passionate connection to the music they play. Perhaps it’s because at CIS, music lessons are mandatory from Pre-Kindergarten all the way to High School. With regular music classes, on and off campus performances and our latest guest musician programs, our professional CIS music team aims to cultivate a love of music in every student and furthermore, enhance playing skills and the spirit of teamwork! Guest Performances: Our Ambassadors for Musical Appreciation

Our Wind Orchestra has grown a lot in the past 2 years. With a strong foundation, we're proud to showcase guest performances and musicians! The purpose of such events is to expose our children to various repertoires and develop a lifelong love of music.
CIS管乐团在过去的两年里成长了很多，有了强大的基础，我们很自豪地向中学部的同学们引入客座嘉宾表演和客座教师演奏练习，目的是让孩子们接触到各种各样的曲目，并培养对音乐的终身热爱。

Music is truly the key to cultural appreciation, and to developing friendships, confidence and happiness. Our cultural ambassadors of CIS are given a myriad of opportunities to perform. Here are some snapshots of a recent tree lighting ceremony, where our young students rocked the stage with festive melodies!
