As part of our approach to providing a holistic education to our students, CIS University and Careers Guidance Office (U-GO) prepares students for university and future career throughout their Grade 9-12.
Our “Best Fit Philosophy” seek to support students to purchasing their dream colleges and universities and get them prepared as well as they can.

What is the CIS “Best Fit Philosophy”?
什么是“最合适”原则
Some families believe that ranking is the answer to the questions above. Ranking is important indeed. However, in order to seek “the best fit” for our students, there are following things that we should consider:
1. What are our students’ career goals? Does the selected program fit their needs?
2. What do we need to know about a selected program to ensure success, including program structure, length of study, etc?
3. Are there any factors in the selected program that are able to meet a student’s goals, such as study exchange, placement year or connections with any industries?
一些家庭认为，院校排名是上面问题的答案。排名确实很重要，然而，为了让孩子找到“最适合”的未来，我们应该考虑的还有以下几点:
1. 学生的职业目标是什么？所选的课程是否符合他们的需要？
2. 为了确保学业成功，我们需要了解所申请专业的哪些信息，包括课程设置、学习时长等等？
3. 所选专业中有哪些因素能够满足学生的目标，比如交换项目、实习或行业资源？

What does U-GO do?
升学和职业指导办公室的职能
U-GO has four main purposes:
1. Tracking students’ academic progression, building up social skills and providing opportunities for students to explore their career choices
2. Providing university counselling and application services
3. Helping students set up short-term and long-term goals
4. Maintaining our CIS Alumni Network
5. Organize University and College workshops (including Queens’ University, the University of Connecticut, University of Warwick and the University of Western Australia)
U-GO有四个主要职能：
1. 跟踪学生的学业进展，培养社交能力，并为学生提供机会探索他们的职业选择
2. 提供大学申请咨询服务
3. 帮助学生建立短期和长期目标
4. 维护CIS校友网络
5. 组织大学申请工作坊（包括皇后大学、康涅狄格大学、华威大学、西澳大利亚大学等）
