Once Gallery is pleased to announce that we will participate in the upcoming 2022 Edition of Affordable Art Fair Singapore. It will be held in F1 Pit Building, Singapore, from November 17-20, 2022.
More than 80 galleries from around the globe will be present. This is also the first international art fair to return to Singapore after a there-year pandemic hiatus!

As a young one-year-old gallery, Once Gallery (Beijing) is determined to present our artists with an international platform since the very start. In the post-pandemic world, when it has become hard for audience around the globe to share “seamless simultaneous experiences”, artworks need to make their physical presence to the eyes of different groups of audiences. Once Gallery not only hope to recommend excellent Chinese artists to a broader audience and collector base, we also would like to bring back the power of art’s physical presence, through art fairs and all kinds of dynamic exhibitions.

AAF Singapore 2022 marks the first time for Once Gallery to participate in an art fair of all medium of works, after our presence in PHOTOFAIRS Shanghai 2021 and SoooArt Suzhou 2022, two art fairs dedicated to photo-based artworks.

We will showcase artworks by six artists: Dai Xianjing, Jin Xiaoyao, Sun Haiting, Wang Meiyi, Xiang Hao, Zhou Chi. Many works make their debut at AAF Singapore 2022.
Early oil paintings of Jin Xiaoyao (b.1992) focus on refining the spirituality found in portraits and certain interior settings or landscape, and express a lightness found both in spirit and materiality.
The body of works on paper by Xiang Hao (b. 1984) on shows a continuity of “Trace” series, while pushing the boundary of color and fire burning to an unprecedented extreme.
Sun Haiting (b.1994)’s much sought-after “Empty Room” large-format photography works and his delicate “A Winter Trip” gelatin silver photos will be on show together side-by-side for the first time.
Wang Meiyi
Wang Meiyi (b.1990), a graduate from the prestigious Royal College of Art in London takes a smart and light approach when tackling her serious artistic thoughts behind her latest original print works —— in imitation of cyanotype, “Studies of Emoji” questions and celebrates the ambiguity behind the frequent use of Emoji at the same time.
Artist and documentary director Dai Xianjing (b.1988)’s photography series “Trees Whisper” just made its debut in a solo show in Beijing in the fall of 2022, and some classics from the series, embodying both a touch of humanity and a sense of romanticism, will appear in Singapore.
Last but not the least, the newest artist Once Gallery just started working with is Zhou Chi (b.1992), and we are bringing some of her latest acrylic-based mixed media works. Zhou Chi’s works reflect classical splendor and allegorical mystery, capturing a primitive yet natural feeling that can go unnoticed in urban living.

Once Gallery was founded in the summer of 2021, after presenting an eponymous exhibition in an old foreign-style house in Shanghai. By the end of the year, the gallery opened its space in Beijing, where founder Sylvia Xue Bai began to collaborate with contemporary artists who employ unique artistic language and whose works resonate with the current times while leaving the spectator with lasting impacts.
With its focus on the curatorial context of each presentation, Once Gallery adopts new approaches appealing to those interested in learning and collecting works about artists the gallery represents and stimulates their passion for art.
Starting from Beijing/Shanghai, Once Gallery aims to grow steadily and dynamically in the post-pandemic contemporary art landscape.
