展名 Title / 心象.诗境——杨识宏个展 Timeless Vision - Yang Chihung Solo Exhibition艺术家 Artist / 杨识宏 Yang Chihung展期 Duration / 2020.9.5 - 10.31 开幕 Opening / 2020.9.5 (周六 Sat.） 16:00 展览 Venue / 亚洲艺术中心（上海）| 上海市普陀区莫干山路50号7号楼106室 Asia Art Center (Shanghai ) | Room 106, Bldg. 7, 50 Moganshan Road, Shanghai 亚洲艺术中心荣幸地宣布将于2020年9月5日上海空间 举办“心象.诗境——杨识宏个展”，展览将持续至2020年10月31日。 在这个以秒刷屏的时代，一幅杰出的绘画作品会获取观众多大程度的精神力投注，而这种关注性又伴随着高度的兴奋感与稳健的充实感，有如身处被誉为“世界最伟大鼓手”的爵士音乐家 Buddy Rich 的即兴 solo 中——这便是杨识宏的绘画作品集结着技术、速度与力量敲奏在视觉上的体验。 杨识宏的画面里不出现所谓的“规律”和“次序”，其即兴般的绘画轨迹无所顾忌地进行着直接的运行。在此行迹中某一笔触的短暂逗留看似阻断了视觉在画布这一绘画场域里的延续，却是艺术家被新的思绪与情感所激发而在下一段行笔中释放出连绵的浮想与感触，意识的自然流动与绘画动势合并而产生创作状态的增进与累积。此状态表现于画面上使观者对于时间流逝的主观感受发生改变而被带入另一维度的“心理时间”。 艺术家杨识宏（出生于1947年），1968年台湾艺专（现为台湾艺术大学）美术科西画组毕业，70年代末移居美国纽约。杨识宏自1980年代起活跃于纽约艺坛，至今创作不懈，成为继赵无极、朱德群之后最重要的抽象表现主义华人艺术家之一。1989年获得美国纽约州州长颁发杰出亚裔艺术家奖，更是首位获得美国“国家工作室”奖助计划的华人艺术家。1981年开始撰写艺术报道和评论文章，阐述西方艺术的发展情况，并发表于纽约《中报》、台湾《艺术家》杂志以及在两岸极具影响力的艺术杂志《雄狮美术》，对于当时国内艺术信息相对缺乏的环境下，可以说带来了许多深度的介绍及启发。给当时的中国艺术界打开了一扇了解西方最新艺术信息大门，为许多艺术家提供了当代艺术启蒙，也是首位进入纽约 MoMA P.S.1 展出的华人艺术家。 Asia Art Center is pleased to announce the opening of Yang Chihung’s solo exhibition “Timeless Vision” on September 5th in Shanghai space. The exhibition will be on view until October 31st, 2020. Every image is refreshed in seconds in this era of reading pictures, how a piece of outstanding painting artwork can capture the audience's mental strength of attention with excitement and fulfillment? As if being in a live show played by jazz musician Buddy Rich who is considered as “one of the most influential drummers of all time”. Well, this is exactly the visual experience concentrating in skill, speed and power from the paintings of Yang Chihung. The so-called “rules” and “sequence” do not appear in Yang Chihung's paintings, his extemporaneous painting journeys on the canvas freely and directly. The short stay of a few brushstrokes in this journey seems to interrupt the continuation of viewing on the canvas in the field of painting art, but it is the artist being inspired by new thoughts and emotions to release continuous imagination and feelings and consciousness in the next paragraph of the brushstroke. The natural flow of mind and the moving energy of painting merge to produce the enhancement and accumulation of the creative state. This state is manifested in the "psychological time" in which the audience's subjective perception of the passage of time is changed to be brought into another dimension of creation. Artist Yang Chihung (b.1947) graduated from the Department of Fine Arts at the National Taiwan College of Arts(currently known as National Taiwan University of Arts), and immigrated to New York in the late 70’s. Yang Chihung has been active in the New York art scene since the 1980’s, and continues to create work to this day, becoming one of the most significant abstract expressionist painters since ZaoWou-Ki and Chu Teh-Chun. He was awarded the “Asian-American Artist” award from the Governor of New York in 1989, and was the first artist of Chinese descent to be awarded the Clocktower residency. He began writing reports and critiques on art, chronicling the developments of Western art; his writings were published in “Chung Po” in New York, “Artist Magazine” in Taiwan, and in the art magazine “Lion Art” which grew prominent on both sides of the strait, providing in-depth introduction and inspirations to a nation that was lacking in its sources of art information. After graduating from the National Academy of Art, he emigrated to the United States of America in 1979. In 1989, Yang was awarded the “Outstanding Asian-American Artist” by the governor of New York state.
