PAG ASIA 2024 Workshop抢先看!多组学技术在动植物遗传研究及育种中的应用

动植物基因组学大会(PAG, Plant and Animal Genome Conference)是国际知名的动植物、微生物基因组学研究领域的顶级盛会。亚洲动植物基因组学大会(PAG ASIA)作为PAG在亚洲地区的重要分会,每年都将邀请来自海内外的领域专家学者,探讨动植物组学的前沿进展。同时,也将为青年学者、行业企业搭建展示成果、技术新品的专业平台。


今年,PAG ASIA 2024将于6月5-7日在深圳举行,为期3天的会议将涵盖6场全体报告会、30多场研讨会,以及学生研讨会竞赛、墙报展示、线下展会等多维度交流活动。


作为全球领先的多组学研究及临床转化应用中心,华大基因将在此次大会上举办一场以“Multi-Omics Techniques in Genetic Studies and Breeding of Animal and Plant”为主题的Workshop,特邀5位动植物研究领域大咖分享重要进展与前沿思考,诚邀您的关注和参与。

► 报告主题 

Genetic and Epigenetic Regulatory Variants of Complex Traits in Dairy Cattle



► 报告人简介 

Prof. Ying YU is an Associate Chair in the Department of Animal Breeding and Genetics at College of Animal Science and Technology, CAU. She is a member of the Farm GETx consortium. She used to be the Executive Chairperson in 2020 Online International Workshop on Animal & Human Health and Epigenetic Regulations, the Secretary-General in 2018 International Symposium on Animal Health and Inheritance of Disease Resistance. She has published research articles on Nature Genetics, Molecular Biology and Evolution, BMC Biology, FASEB J, et al. Her research currently focuses on genetic and epigenetic regulatory mechanisms of farm animal health and sperm quality traits and its application in the sustainable animal breeding.

Omics Studies of Salt Stress Responses in Soybean and Applications



► 报告人简介 

Prof. Lam obtained his BSc and MPhil in Biology from The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) in 1985 and 1987, respectively. After receiving his Ph.D. degree from Northwestern University in the USA, he worked as a post‐doctoral fellow at New York University from 1992 to 1996. Prof. Lam is currently the Choh-Ming Li Professor of Life Sciences at CUHK. Professor Lam’s research focuses on climate-smart agriculture, plant and agrobiotechnology, and genomic studies on crop-environment interaction. He has published over 220 publications in premier scientific journals including Nature, Nature Genetics, Nature Communications, PNAS, Lancet, Plant Cell, Plant Physiology, Plant Journal, and New Phytologist, etc.

► 报告人简介 

Prof. Wang is a professor in Southwest University. He works with a group that develops and applies computational tools to give insight into the origins and progression of genome biology. His core research interests include: sequencing and analyze the genome; developing open-source software for integrating, mining, and visualizing genomic data.

Integrate Multiple-Omics Data for Wheat Molecular Breeding



► 报告人简介 

Prof. Guo obtained a doctoral degree in Tsinghua University, and started to work in China Agricultural Univeristy since 2016. He focused on decoding the wheat complex genome, and obtained the Excellent Young Scientists Fund of the National Natural Science Foundation of China in 2023. His recent studies focus on understanding the domestication and breeding process of wheat with genomic approaches, leveraging innovations on developing new algorithms and computational tools. He developed widely-used genomic databases for the wheat community, such as TGT, WheatUnion, wGRN. His recent papers were published in journals such as Nature Communications, Molecular Plant, New Phytologist.

Recent Selection and Introgression Facilitated Highland Adaptation of Cattle



► 报告人简介 

Prof. Chen obtained a doctoral degree from Northwest A&F University (NWAFU) for bovine genetic and breeding. Now, he is working as an associated professor at NWAFU. Prof. Chen focus on to dissect genetic architecture of bovine populations, including cattle, yak, and other wild bovine species, quantitatively characterize their admixture features, and reveal their migration history and adaptive divergence. Using ancient DNA and multi-omics technologies to reveal the population evolution and adaptive introgression of bovine species. He has resulted more than 20 research publications including PNAS, Nature Communications, Science Advacnes, Genome Biology, and Science Bulletin, etc. He is a member of the editorial board of BMC Biology, GPB, AROH, JGG, and JIA.

► 报告人简介 

Dr. Jian is an Associate Researcher in Department of Research Cooperation in BGI Tech. His research currently focuses on muti-omics to explore the molecular mechanisms of speciation, evolution, genetic diversity, and artificial domestication or local adaptation. He has published research articles on Nature, Nature GeneticsNature Communications, PNAS etc.
