玛瑙的功效

玛瑙是玉髓类矿物的一种，经常是混有蛋白石和隐晶质石英的纹带状块体，色彩相当有层次。有半透明或不透明的，常呈致密块状而形成各种构造。如乳房状、葡萄状、结核状等，常见的为同心圆构造。
具有不同颜色构成的玉髓，通常有，绿、红、黄、褐，白等多种颜色。按图案和杂质可分为缟玛瑙、缠丝玛瑙、苔玛瑙、城堡玛瑙等。常用作玩物、观赏物、饰物或玩赏物。古代陪葬物中常可见到成串的玛瑙球。
红玛瑙：红是玛瑙的一种主色，一般玛瑙呈褐红色、酱红色、黄红色。有些玛瑙颜色表现不均匀，像南红玛瑙，其内部就有红色的点。
正红色的红玛瑙则可改善内分泌、加强血液循环、让气色变好，去除性方面的障碍。偏橘色的红玛瑙则可对肠胃有效用，可活化内脏，预防便秘，帮助排出毒素，对肝病、风湿、神经痛，静脉曲张等都有舒缓的功用。增强爱、忠诚、及勇气，可促进富足、幸福及长寿，有保平安功效。对思想消极，没有目标及冲劲的人，有刺激其好奇心及行动力的作用。
蓝玛瑙：以淡蓝色为主，色较深时透明度较差，有时在蓝色玛瑙中分布一些其他色彩鲜艳的纹带。
