Jane Nicola Douglas (NILA) is a UK Soul-folk artist currently residing in Shanghai. She has gigged in the UK, China, Singapore, Hong Kong and throughout Europe. Jane Nicola’s music blends influences of jazz and folk into one. She currently has five albums and 1 single out. Originally trained as a classical guitarist and jazz singer, Jane Nicola is not unknown to indulge into a drone bass, jazz riffs, percussive drumming inflections on her guitar, mixed with a vocal interplay of jazz and folk melodies.

Jane Nicola grew up in a creative household and a nearby village of craftsman, farmers, army folk and teachers.  Songwriting was a natural part of  her life, recording and scribbling down lyrics, singing in tape recorders and playing out! She also has an interest in alternative art forms and meditation.

Jane Nicola (妮拉)是一位英国擅长灵魂乐和民谣的艺术家,现居上海。她曾在英国，中国，新加坡，香港，中国和整个欧洲等地演出。Jane Nicola 妮拉 的音乐将爵士乐、民谣和灵魂乐融为一体。Jane Nicola至今已发行5张专辑和1支单曲，Jane Nicola妮拉原本是一名古典吉他手和爵士乐歌手，她沉迷于低音贝斯、爵士乐连复段、吉他上的打击乐鼓点变化，以及爵士乐和民谣旋律的声乐。
