Early Guide of Flower-Viewing Activities in BJ Municipal Parks

In the warm spring, Beijing's municipal parks, including the Summer Palace, Beihai Park, and Yuyuantan Park, are adorned with early spring flowers like wintersweet, winter jasmine, and magnolia, all unfurling gently in the breeze.


The period from mid-March to early May, covering three solar terms - Spring Equinox, Pure Brightness and Grain Rain - is the best time for outings and flower appreciation. Beijing's municipal parks are brimming with vitality, with various spring flower-viewing seasons, cultural exhibitions, popular science activities, and limited-edition spring-themed creative activities about to kick off.


Spring is in the air of the China National Botanical Garden (North Garden).


According to the Beijing Municipal Administration Center of Parks (hereinafter referred to as the "Center"), the municipal parks will host several spring flower-viewing events, including the 2nd Peach Blossom Viewing Season and World Famous Flower Exhibition at the , the 35th Cherry Blossom Cultural Event and 5th Spring Flower Expo at , the 9th Crabapple Blossom Cultural Festival at , the 29th Spring Flower and Tulip Viewing Season at , and the 27th Peony Cultural Festival at .


Magnolia flowers are beginning to bloom at the west gate of Jingshan Park.


In addition, the Center will introduce a variety of cultural events and services for spring outings and flower appreciation, aiming to showcase the new cultural vitality of Beijing's municipal parks. Among these events are the 2nd Carnivorous Plant Exhibition and Bulbous Plant Culture Exhibition at the China National Botanical Garden (North Garden), the Exhibition of Varieties of Bulbous Flowers at Zhongshan Park, the Fine Crabapple Bonsai Exhibition at Taoranting Park, and the 35th Anniversary Retrospective Exhibition of Cherry Blossom Season at Yuyuantan Park.


The peach trees at Jingfu Pavilion in the Summer Palace are laden with buds, eagerly awaiting to bloom.
