中文里最常用的道歉语之一,适用范围广。
One of the most commonly used apologies in Chinese, it has a wide range of applications.

对不起,我不是故意的。
I’m sorry, I didn’t mean it.

对不起,我们分手吧。
I’m sorry, but we have to stop seeing each other.

不好意思
Excuse me
“不好意思”用于道歉时,与“对不起”相比错误的严重程度较低,同时也更日常、更口语化。此外,“不好意思”常被用作“事前道歉”,比如需要打扰别人或者需要别人配合帮助的场合。
When used as an apology, “不好意思” indicates a less serious mistake, and a more colloquial or common occurrence, as compared to “对不起”. In addition, it is often used as “an apology in advance”, when one will be disturbing others or needing their cooperation or help.

(事前道歉)不好意思,借过一下。
(Apology in advance) Excuse me. Watch out. Coming through.

(事后道歉)不好意思,这款鞋子已经没货了。

抱歉/深表歉意

“抱歉”和“深表歉意”都重在表达心中不安、感到歉意。“深表歉意”更为正式、书面。
Both are formal and used to express deep unease and regret. Compared to“抱歉”, “深表歉意” is more formal and literary.

“过意不去”表示心中不安。它也可以同时表达道歉和道谢两重意思,常常用在“得到了别人的善意帮助,却同时也给别人添了麻烦,想表达自己既感恩又不安的心情”这类场景。
“过意不去” indicates unease. Expressing both apology and gratitude simultaneously, it is often used in such scenes as inconveniencing others while getting their kind help.
