剑桥英语词典里对“You re a star”是这样解释的：
something you say to someone when they have been nice and helpful to you
例：Thank you so much for giving me a hand. You're a star! 非常感谢你帮了我的忙。你人太好了！
I really appreciate what you did for me. You're a star! Thanks a million.我真的很感激你为我所做的一切。你真是个大好人! 万分感谢。如果你真是明星名人，You're star.也可以是:你是大明星, 这里的star=明星。
但是see stars实际上却让人：头晕眼花，眼冒金星
可以说look at the stars 或者 watch stars
例：The blow on his head made Jack see stars. Jack当头挨了一击，眼睛直冒金星。
When that branch fell on my head, I saw stars for several seconds. 那树枝落在我头上时, 我有好几秒钟眼冒金星。
guest star的意思是“特约演员明星，客串”意思就是“appear in a guest role”
比如：Aniston guest stars as a magazine editor and rival to Cox s character.安妮斯顿客串一个女主编的角色，与考克斯演对手戏。
比如：He just wants you as a guest star. 他只是请你去客串。
new star就可以表示“新发现的星球；新秀，新星”
例句：Publicity agents were beating the drum about the new star.广告代理商都在竭力吹捧这名新星。
例句：The star turn in that movie is really charming. I have a big crush on him.那部电影中的主演很有魅力。我很喜欢他。
“流星”= shooting star （或meteor）
例：A bright shooting star is an unforgettable sight. 明亮的流星，是番难忘的景象。
There was a shooting star outside. 外面有颗流星。
