A quiz is usually a short test, and it usually does not have much impact on your grade. 

quiz一般比较短，通常不计分，对你的分数没有影响。

备注：quiz指的是小测试，可能是一道题，可能是几道题，目的是测试对某个部分的理解；

Test

These are the standard evaluation technique used to determine your grade in both high school and college classes. 

test是标准的评估方式，来判断你在中学或者大学的学习成果。

备注：时间比quiz更长，考察的部分比quiz更全面，题目也更多。

The test score is almost certain to be used in determining your grade in the class.

test的分数会被用来判断你的学习成果。

Exam

Many instructors use “test” and “exam” interchangeably, but for students, an exam refers to either a mid-term or final exam.

很多老师会把test和exam替换来用，但是对于学生来说，期中期末考试，最好用exam.

An exam will be long and will cover all of the material that the course has covered so far. 

exam时间比test更长，会涉及到迄今为止所有学过的内容。
