BANK荣幸宣布代理艺术家梁浩。
梁浩，1988年⽣于⼴东。2012年毕业于清华⼤学美术学院绘画系，⽬前⽣活和⼯作于上海。其艺术实践以绘画为主，并涉及不同的媒介。他围绕着⼿、凝视和思想之间的动态关系展开创作，通过构建技术⽣产的幻景，亦或对⽂字与艺术史上图像的引⽤，来重新考虑⼿的技术性，以及流转于其中的情感意识。
今年8月，BANK画廊呈现了梁浩的个展“高手”，展示了他两年间的油画和手稿。展览的名字在中文语境中同时指向一种对技艺的称赞，以及身怀该绝技的技术主体。但在本次展览中，“高手”指向的是手，因而展览的英文名为“Gesture and Speech”，它来自古生物学家和人类学家勒鲁瓦-古尔汉(Andre Leroi-Gourhan)的同名著作。勒鲁瓦-古尔汉将手势(gesture)与言语(speech)并称，两者都是思想的表达方式。
梁浩安排手操作工具，用镍箔片卷成希腊字母最后一位：Ω。在天文学中，Ω是宇宙的密度，也是临界密度的比率。双手于是推挤着镍箔片，开启了另一个宇宙的通道。画作的背景都被纯色悬置了。手并不属于世界中的某个具体位置，它就是世界。它串联起诸画作中的不同操作，把梁浩的世界分割为一幅幅画作。而在画作中，空间是另一种可操作的游戏，在金属表面不断分割、拼接、组合，反射出缺席、匮乏、以及世界的其它面向。
梁浩于和美术馆的个展“替身”即将于2023年12月19日开幕。2024年3月，BANK将携梁浩全新作品亮相香港巴塞尔展会。敬请期待。

BANK is honored to announce the representation of artist Liang Hao.
Liang Hao (b. 1988, Guangdong Province) currently lives and works in Shanghai. He graduated from the Painting Department of the Academy of Arts and Design at Tsinghua University, Beijing, in 2012. His practice focuses on painting while extending to other media. He is interested in the dynamics between the hand, gaze and mind, reconsidering the technicality of the hand and the affects that flow through it by constructing illusions of technical production and making references to images in art history or texts.
In August, BANK presented Liang Hao's solo exhibition Gesture and Speech, which showcased his paintings and drawings over a period of two years. The name of the exhibition (高手) in the Chinese context refers to both the praise of a skill and the technical subject who possesses that skill. In this exhibition, however, the title refers to the hand itself, hence the English title "Gesture and Speech," which comes from the eponymous work of paleontologist and anthropologist Andre Leroi-Gourhan. Leroi-Gourhan juxtaposed gesture with speech, both of which are expressions of thought.
Liang Hao arranges his hands to manipulate the tool by rolling a nickel foil into the last digit of the Greek letter: Ω. In astronomy, Ω is the density of the universe and the ratio of critical densities. The hands then push and squeeze the nickel foil, opening a passage to another universe. The backgrounds of his paintings are suspended in solid colors. The hand does not belong to a specific place in the world, it is the world. It connects the different operations in the paintings, dividing Liang Hao's world into various painting. In Liang's paintings, space is another kind of manipulative game, constantly divided, spliced, and combined on the metal surface, reflecting absence, scarcity, and other aspects of the world.Liang Hao's solo exhibition Doubled Bifurcation at He Art Museum will soon open on December 19, 2023. BANK will present Liang Hao's new works in the Upcoming Art Basel Hong Kong 2024. Stay tuned.

His work has been exhibited in worldwide institutions that include: Art OMI, New York; Daechumoo Fine Art, Korea; MinSheng Art Museum, Shanghai; Today Art Museum, Beijing; Offshore Project Space, Iceland; CAFA Art Museum, Beijing. His past artist residencies include: Art OMI International Artist Residency (New York, 2016); Island Iceland Offshore Project (Seydisfjordur, 2015). His award nominations include: John Moores Painting Prize (2018,2016).
