House Music is the perfect mood enhancer (dare you to convince us otherwise!). Of course, other genres are more befitting for places like clubs or on the dance floor, but if we’re talking about creating an ambiance that has an everlasting, feel-good experience, then this is it! It’s perfect for people who are out to socialize and create new connections. At [housecafé] meet-ups, we prefer to speak - not shout, so even volume control is essential.

The genre however, requires great skill. Both producers and Djs have to be very mindful with how they turn, what may sound like a simple beat, into something almost equal to mind control. There is a science behind matching the BPM of the sound to that of the actual heartbeat. Then accelerating it at a constant pace as the night progresses.

After having spent a lifetime conducting research, we found that upon asking where one can find house music in Beijing, you would often be referred to some dark, loud, club where your clothes are most definitely gonna come out smelling of cigarette smoke (rendering your very exquisite perfume useless!).
That’s how we found Martini Bistro. It really looks the part. Imagine what a wonderful night it would be; dressed in those new boots, smelling like the ocean itself, with nothing but #coolpeopleonly around you, sipping on the perfect G&T after a hearty meal and all-the-while listening to some real chilled beats.
