THE WHO is a basic series of maximum three intercultural creators being featured monthly in HeathersChamber.
阿太的密室从2020年起每月开展”谁“系列亮出顶多三位跨文化的创作者。
WHO can be artist, painter, writer, poet, editor, publisher, philosopher, photographer, designer, architect, scientist, filmmaker, musician, art collector, art dealer, antique dealer, founder of an art platform, a distinctive "qi pa", a grassroot off mainstreams, a daring storyteller, a soul catcher, or a street performer with a voice rumbling like the sea of storms.

Ancient Worship & Beyond Series 2008-2016 |《超》和《祭古》系列
Liu Yihong, a lecturer at China Academy of Arts (CAA), commented on ATMAN ONE's artistic practice of traditional Chinese culture: In the current wave of cultural globalization and the popularization of art, painting no longer has the nature of permanent mythology and the meaning of totem. And in painting practice, the "halo" that can establish an artist's self-esteem has been destroyed by the image technology of mechanical reproduction. Can painting really face life and convey the deep living conditions? Can modern painting effectively inherit and present Chinese unique cultural consciousness? Humbly I dare not comment on ATMAN ONE's work. But personally I feel that each of his expressive or abstract paintings is filled with the rhythm of music, the tension of life, and the spirit of flowing water. At first glance, your heart blooms. At another glance, your mind is enlightened. In his artworks, he tries to erase the last trace of "poor painting habits". The theme, content, image and space are sprinkled into a torrent of "form“ and ”emptiness". Layers of ethereal ancient air attract you to listen to the distant voice of mercy from the vastness of natural life. And finally you let all become one.对郝大师的作品，小的不敢妄加评论。但个人感觉他的每一副表现意象或抽象的作品都充满音乐的律动、生命的张力和行云流水般的灵动性。乍一看，心花怒放；咋一看，启人心智。他在绘画中企图抹除最后一丝“笔端习气”，将主题、内容、物象、空间挥洒成一股“色”与“空”的激流，冒着一层层飘渺古老的气息，吸引着你去远方听那来自广阔无垠的自然生活的慈悲之音，最终让万法归一得以呈现。Strength Series, 2019 | 《力》系列Such extraordinary Force energy and inner peace, are what ATMAN ONE has gained from his annual meditation. Having dabbled in the world's famous works at an early age and appreciated the art of Van Gogh and Picasso, he found that Zao Wou-Ki and Rosk's pure abstracts can inspire him to seek the highest state:"ALL IN ONE". During his morning meditations, he is inspired by the energy resonance between heaven and earth; explores the mystery between the limited body and the infinite universe; realizes the Chinese ancestral philosophy and the current ideological environment. He intends to create a third culture - "Build more bridges and knock down more walls." 如此超凡的原力能量及内在的平和，是郝方圆常年修习冥想之所得。从小开始涉猎世界名家作品的他，领略了毕加索和梵高的艺术后，发现赵无极和罗斯克的纯抽象作品更能激发他寻求最高境界： “人艺合一”。在清晨禅修的同时，体验天地万物之间的能量共振与捕捉灵感；探索身体有限和宇宙无限之间的奥秘；觉悟中国祖源哲学和当下思想环境，开创第三种文化。“建造更多的桥，推倒更多的墙”。Oneness Series, 2015-2018 | 《一》系列This vision is ATMAN ONE's belief in the essence of Chinese traditional culture: "the integration of all things". He believes that the core of "ALL IN ONE" is "ONE". And the ultimate way of performing "ONE" is directly integrating everything into people's daily life. In other words, he is not an artist, he is art. His most complete work will be his life, his creations, his history, his hopes, and all that he has.
这一愿景，正是郝方圆对中国传统文化精华“万物一体”的信念。他认为，“万物一体”最核心的精髓就是“一”。而“一”最终极的呈现方式就是直接融入到人们的日常生活当中。换言之，他并非艺术家，他是艺术本身。他最完整的作品将是他的生活、他的生命、他的历史、他的希望、他的一切。Bang Series, 2017-2018 | 《破》系列ATMAN ONE is a creator who has already tunnelled the "starting point" and "ending point". He is infatuated with ancient times and appreciates future technology. He is awed by nature but resonates with fashion and popularity. His future work will cover all aspects of life. May people bravely express themselves. Because the instinctive power of happiness needs to break the border. Oriental culture is not a knowledge system, not religious feelings, but a life practice, such as people drinking water and knowing the temperature.郝方圆是一位已经打通“起点”和“终点”的创作者。他迷恋古代，也欣赏未来科技；他师法自然，也对时尚和流行充满共鸣。他未来的创作将会覆盖生活的方方面面。愿人们能勇敢地自我表达。因为幸福的本能力量需要打破边界。东方文化不是知识系统，不是宗教情怀，而是一个生命实践系统，如人饮水冷暖自知。New Buddhist Series, 2008-2018 | 《新佛》系列ATMAN ONE feels lucky to be able to do something that can only be achieved with great faith. Chinese culture and Dharma Buddhism have transformed him as if reborn. This inspiration and spiritual drive transcend all of his imagination and concepts. He then mobilizes the greatest power with the shortest time, forming a simple stream of consciousness. At the truest moment, he translates the Chinese traditional culture and Buddhist wisdom into the contemporary artistic context.
郝方圆庆幸自己能做一些唯有巨大信念支撑才能达成的事情，就是因为佛法和中国文化。佛学让他的心在一念之间彻底改变了，如获新生。这种灵感和精神动力超乎了一切概念和想象。进而他通过最短的时间调动最大的本原力量，炼成一股简约意识流，在最真实的那一刻，把中国传统文化和佛学智慧转换成当代的艺术语境。Nature Series, 2017-2019 | 《大自然》系列In the future, ATMAN ONE hopes to "TAKE THE POWER BACK". He thinks it is tragic for artists to see the power of art become less and less. Every advance in art history is made by artists who constantly absorb things from the outside, preserving the land and promoting art. Eastern culture is top-down. It is consistent from the sight of the top dimension. Western culture is bottom-up. It is scientific for people to find the truth or the ultimate realm. Seeing is believing. Now, let's hope one day the East and West will merge into a boundless horizon and form a global civilization!未来，郝方圆希望“TAKE THE POWER BACK"。他认为，当艺术的影响力在人们的视野中越来越小时会很可悲。艺术历史的每次前进都是艺术家不断吸收艺术圈外的东西，固守良土，再推动艺术圈的发展。东方艺术文化是自上而下的，从最高维度往下看，一而贯之。西方艺术文化是自下而上的，它要眼见为实，从科学的维度一点点往上攀岩去找真相，求终极境界。现在，我们更加希望看到东方西方在未来必定会有发展到同一个层面，形成世界化文明的一天！The 3/5/8 Series & Through & Crossover & Hope, 2012-2020 | “合一·跨界”系列"As a young man, an artist, hopefully I will be able to recover some spirit of our ancestors and show it to our society or even our future generations. Because we need someone to do something to heal the cultural and spiritual fractures. I aim to be this power.
“我希望自己作为一个年轻人、一个艺术家，能够找回祖先的一点点样子，展现给当今社会甚至后代。因为我们中间必须要有人去做些什么，把文化和精神的断层重新接连愈合。我要成为这种力量。”

Heather is the daughter of a subsistence rice farmer from Fujian Province, China. She tells stories from her experience as one of the poorest. She writes her dream to share with the world, a very personal place. She has now written two English literary novels and is looking to being published in the UK. Her passion is a splendid cocktail or milkshake of word, image, music and art. She likes collecting books, DVDs, papers, stones, shells and leaves. She desires for all forms of natural beauty. She is currently teaching kids chess in Shanghai.
