阿太的密室从2020年起每月开展”谁“系列亮出顶多三位跨文化的创作者。
WHO can be artist, painter, writer, poet, editor, publisher, philosopher, photographer, designer, architect, scientist, filmmaker, musician, art collector, art dealer, antique dealer, founder of an art platform, a distinctive "qi pa", a grassroot off mainstreams, a daring storyteller, a soul catcher, or a street performer with a voice rumbling like the sea of storms.
"谁”可以是艺术家、画家、作家、诗人、编辑、出版商、哲学家、摄影师、设计师、建筑师、科学家、电影人、音乐家、收藏家、艺术品交易商、古董商、艺术平台创始人、有独特艺术见解的“奇葩”人物、非主流创意“草根”、勇敢无畏的说书人、心灵捕手、或激昂澎湃的街头艺人。
So honored to announce THE WHO of July goes to the aspiring and intuitive artist Zhu Yu.
七月的"谁“,很荣幸邀请到有志气、凭直觉灵感创作的女艺术家朱渔.
In real life, there are a lot of people who are habitually tamed, and if you don't tell him what to do, he doesn't know what to do, much like a dog (not a guide dog) led by the neck. 现实生活中,有很多人都是习惯性的被驯服,如果你不告诉他做什么,他是不知道该做什么的,很像被牵着脖子走的狗(不是导盲犬)。
Foreword 前言
Zhu Yu intuitively creates serious art with her own body and spirit as canvas and brush, whether the way of her expression is by oil painting in her early works or by video in her later inspirational performance. All of her artworks are exploratory, either on personal struggles in the industrialization as an individual or on social phenomena that she has experienced or observed. Her speciality is to enlarge her vision of how human beings activate between nature and society, and powerfully yet subtly refine the conflicts of interpersonal relationships and social relationships in an intuitionistic form of multi-media installation art. Here HeathersChamber represents four of her typical performance arts that take place in America, Austria, Germany and China.

Zhu Yu is an artist who extracts inspiration from her life experience, social history, readings and observations. Only through intensive reading of her works that we can further learn how she translates her thoughts into artistic forms. In her recent video works, Zhu explores the interpersonal relationships between individuals to the social condition and collective existence in society. She travels around the world, works as artist-in-residence, and collaborates with artists of different cultural backgrounds to realize or embody her thoughts and concerns in art. Therefore, her study of individual existence and social relationship does not depend on the obscure theory of ontology.
Specifically, her expression is both visual and bodily. She often intervenes in nature, society, and urban space with a low-cost budget. This gives her great flexibility in traveling around the world and creating arts, namely using her body as a canvas to paint her intuitive thinking. Taking live performance as the main creative medium, her works inspire and move the audience on-site. Using video with much post-production as the carrier of her performance, her works are neither limited to one place or one moment, but expand the possibility of generating new knowledge by “misrecognition”.
朱渔是凭直觉灵感创作的艺术家,纵观她近期的影像创作,探索了从个体之间的人际关系到群体存在的社会状态。通过对其作品的细读,我们可能会感到好奇艺术家是如何从成长经验、社会履历和阅读观察中提取灵感和直觉,并如何将这些转化为艺术。
整体看来,艺术家朱渔对于个体存在与社会关系的考察,绝不依附于艰深晦涩的本体论的理论深究。与不同文化背景的艺术家进行合作,将抽象思考以艺术的形式具体化。对自然、社会与城市空间进行视觉和身体的介入表达,赋予她极大的灵活度绘写她的直觉与思考。以录像为载体,以行为为主体,不限于一时一地,她的创作用“正在进行时“感染观众,具有产生”误读”却获新知的可能。(杨天歌)

Zhu Yu was born in Liushi Town, Wenzhou, Zhejiang Province. In 2008, she graduated from the Video Art Department of Central Academy of Fine Arts of China, and now mainly works and lives in Shanghai, Beijing, Wenzhou and Europe. The artist’s chief mediums are video, installation and photography. Moveable maps are her current artistic orientation. Her works are like looking for markers and relabeling them in a misty forest. Interpreted as a meridian while ceaselessly wiping off her immediate past, her social upbringing acts as a coordinate. And where is her latitude of cognition?
Liushi is a small Chinese town, where 90% of the inhabitants are engaged in manufacturing electrical appliances. The electrical products are sold all over China and all over the world. The region is somewhat alienated from the social and political system, but in its drive towards modern civilization has continuously been hindered by political constraints and economical ideology. The ideological mindset of the community has undergone tremendous change, but the special geographical environment often triggers some sensitive emotions. Zhu’s artistic motifs often portray industrialization, the masses and children’s misplaced memory of factory production lines. She draws reality from the void and the passive, analyzing their historical roots, current mechanical and digitalized shadows.
柳市是一个90%公民生产加工电器的中国小镇,产品销往全中国和世界各地。这个地区似乎不受社会政治体系干扰,但其现代文明的发展却一直受到政治束缚,导致经济社会意识形态也一直在发生转变,这种特殊的地域环境触动了朱渔的一些敏感神经,她的作品大多表现了工业化环境、人群以及民工儿童的错位记忆。从真实中勾勒出虚无和消极的存在,分析过去的历史根源和当下机械化网络化的影子。(杨天歌)

I don't have to take the third step of the twelve steps to get rid of any addiction. There is no passport that God can provide me with the third step convenience as well. All what I do is develop the ability to take the third step with "the Iron rod leg“. Under the pressure of industrialization of extremely high and fast state machine production, how individual life a physical body can break inertial behavior and thinking? Reshape your own body and spirit.
