这个夏天，启明星双语学校开启无人机夏令营，携手国家级无人机教练，以火星探索为假想的着陆地点，支持那些对编程、航空和无人机操控技术特别有兴趣的孩子一圆特别又有趣的“航天梦”！
说远不远的无人机
前些年还算小众的无人机教育正在青少年群体中不断升温——组装、编程、运行无人机，能够让学生体验和感受到编程的乐趣和真实的操控感；也能让孩子在少年时就拓宽眼界，接触一种广泛应用的新技术。

封闭管理的学习营地
学习营地位于北京市密云区密云机场，毗邻风景秀丽的密云水库风景区，距离北京市区仅40分钟路程（京承高速公路G17出口）。机场总占地约1100亩，拥有1100平方公里的合法空域，能够满足直升机及喷气机以下的小型固定翼飞机起降条件，主要由总部基地、候机楼、直升机4S展示中心、航油储备中心、会员机库和东西向800m跑道构成。
营地谢绝游客参观，封闭管理，保障环境安全。

Take advantage of a great opportunity to gain knowledge, explore your passion, and broaden your horizon during your summer vacation!
This summer, Daystar Academy will welcome children who are interested in programming,aviation，and drone flying into its Drone Summer Camp. Led by world-renowned instructors, students will have the opportunity to “explore Mars and the space beyond.”
Drones are becoming a common sight
Just a couple of years ago, drones were novel to the general public. But these days, drones are catching on with the younger generation. The building, programming, and flying of drones enables students to experience the fun of programing and the joy of building and operating a machine. This also allows students to broaden their scope of knowledge and exposes them to an emerging technology that will be widely used from a young age.
Some fields of application for Drones:
Military
In the movie Wolf Warriors 2, drones infiltrated the factory to obtain information about what was going on inside the factory.

In the movie the Bravest, drones fought side by side with the brave firefighters at the scorching fire scene to extinguish the fire.

Daystar Academy is very excited to have instructors from the national model airplanes team joining us for our Drone Summer Camp, where students will be supported and guided to deepen their understanding of drones and their applications, and learn the basics of operating them.

Coaches from the national model airplanes team, team up with the champion of the Fédération Aéronautique Internationale World Championship, instructors with Ph.D’s in Aeronautical Engineering from Beihang University, and instructors with Master's degree returning from overseas studies, to give in-depth instructions.

The summer camp adopts project-based learning to encourage and engage students’ interests and boost students’ self-efficacy.

Students are taught the ins and outs of drones and basic skills of flying them in a fun and engaging way through the following activities:

A safe environment with close supervision
The camp is located inside the Beijing Miyun Airport in Miyun District, Beijing, adjacent to the scenic Miyun Reservoir Scenic Area and only 40 minutes’ away from downtown Beijing (Exit G17 of Beijing – Chengde Expressway). The airport covers a total area of about 1100 mu, or 733,333.37 square meters, and has a legal airspace of 1100 square kilometers, which can meet the takeoff and landing conditions for helicopters, jets, and small fixed-wing aircrafts. It mainly consists of the headquarter base, terminal building, 4S display center for helicopters, aviation oil reserve center, hangars for members and 800-meter runway that runs east to west.
The camp is closed to visitors and managed with close supervision to ensure students’ safety.
