社会创新项目是我们的特色项目
我们坚信学生有能力为世界带来积极的改变，因此将关注社会创新的“启创项目”作为启明星的特色项目。项目以严谨的课程、与现实紧密联结的实践机会，培养学生丰盈的内心和强大的行动力，从而能够直面瞬息万变的未来，为身边的社区乃至世界带来积极的改变。
“启创项目”面向幼儿园至12年级学生，包含力求改变项目、力求改变的一周、与社区紧密联结的出行等活动，以及社会创新课程、实习项目等一系列有机结合的教育行动和课程。
启明星已经举办的相关课程和活动包括“社会创新日”、“社区联结体验旅行”、“社会创新市场和凤凰论坛”等（请分别点击了解更多）。
我们提供严谨、丰富的课程和家校共建体系
启明星拥有一套针对幼儿园至12年级学生的、丰富且不断迭代完善的课程体系。课程体系遵循中国国家课程标准，融合国际文凭组织（IB）课程框架体系和独有的社会创新项目，以探究的方式教学，培养具备创新思维、品格高尚的世界公民。
为了帮助家长更好地理解和支持学生学习，学校定期举办介绍学校课程和教学的家长工作坊“星爸星妈学院”。工作坊包含4大类内容：学校教学介绍、升学指导、启明星特色项目社会创新项目、家庭教育知识。启明星微信公众号也会回顾工作坊精华内容，如最新的大学升学信息、一线教育者总结的家庭教育策略等（请分别点击了解更多）。

启明星拥有丰富的校外合作资源
启明星在世界范围内搭建了广阔的校外资源网络。比如，培养青少年公民意识和跨学科解决问题能力的领军项目 High Resolves 也率先在中国与启明星开展合作。为强化学生中文学习，学校还引入了亚洲思辨教育学会等资源。
启明星启动和应用这些资源，支持学生取得了卓越的成绩，并在各种赛事中取得令人瞩目的成绩（点击了解更多）。
我们拥有稳定而优秀的师资团队
启明星关注营建高标准而稳定的教师团队（点击了解更多）。平均 1:5 的师生比和按照学生特点和水平进行的分层教学共同保障了启明星的个性化教学。在这样高关注度的学习环境里，学生因为“被看见”、 “被尊重”而被激发出更加自信、主动的学习状态。启明星的教师不但 100%拥有学士学位，且 40% 持有硕士或博士学位 。

我们关注学生品格的培养

启明星特别强调品格培养，关注培养学生正确的价值观、坚韧的个性和为他人服务的意识。学校提供适合不同年龄阶段的品德课程，鼓励学生对自己的行为进行反思，进而明确并丰富自己的人生价值与意义。
全面而系统的大学升学辅导
启明星拥有经验极其丰富的大学升学顾问团队。启明星的大学升学顾问Melissa Warehall 女士曾在美国知名学校芝加哥大学实验学校担任大学升学顾问主管，曾出任芝加哥大学媒体总监兼招生副总监，在德保罗大学戏剧学院担任了16年招生总监（点击了解更多）。
Warehall 女士为启明星学生和家庭带来早至9年级便开始的大学升学资讯和家长工作坊，提供专门针对启明星学生特点的10至12年级大学升学辅导课程。
启明星提供丰富的奖学金

幼儿园老师均获得美国蒙台梭利协会认证
启明星幼儿园采用蒙台梭利与主题教学结合的教学方式，为幼儿与不同认知发展水平的同伴互动创造条件，使他们获得更多自我探索、相互学习的技能和情感交流的机会，从而为衔接小学学习做出更充分、更广泛的学术与社交活动方面的准备。

SI Program – a Special Project at Daystar
The Social Innovation (SI) Program is Daystar’s signature program. With a rigorous curriculum and hands-on opportunities closely linked to real life, the program fosters rich personal development and a strong sense of action in students. This prepares them to face a rapidly changing future and make a positive difference in the surrounding communities and the world.
The Social Innovation Program is aimed at students from Kindergarten to Grade 12. It includes activities such as the Projects for Change program, Week for Change, and experiences closely linked with the community, as well as a series of educational actions and courses organically integrated with social innovation courses and internship programs.
In this academic year, Daystar held Social Innovation Day, the Community Connection Experience, the Social Innovation Marketplace and Phoenix Forums, and many other events (click for more).
Rigorous and Rich Curriculum
We have a rich curriculum that is constantly improved and targeted at students from Kindergarten to Grade 12. The curriculum follows China’s national curriculum standards, integrates the International Baccalaureate (IB) framework and Social Innovation Program, and applies inquiry-based instruction to cultivate global citizens with innovative thinking and strong morals.
To help parents better understand and support their children’s school life, we regularly hold the “Daystar Parents Academy” workshop to introduce our curriculum. The Academy includes four major categories: educational philosophy, enrollment guidance, Social Innovation Education, and family education. We post information about each Academy workshop on our official WeChat account. This may include things like the latest university enrollment information, family education tips summarized by frontline educators, and more (click for more).
Parents can receive information via our unique parent-school communication system Daystar Online.
Daystar’s Rich Network Resources
We have established an extensive network of academic resources worldwide. For instance, High Resolves, a leading program for youth civic awareness and interdisciplinary problem-solving skills, is a first-of-its-kind collaboration in China. We have also introduced resources such as the Asian Institute for Critical Thinking Education to enhance students’ Chinese language learning.
Daystar makes full use of these resources to help students make extraordinary academic achievements and win outstanding awards in various competitions (click for more).
Our Extraordinary Faculty
We focus on building a highly qualified and stable faculty team (click for more). The average teacher-student ratio is 1:5, and the tiered instruction based on students’ characteristics and levels guarantee personalized learning at Daystar. In such a highly student-centered learning environment, students are inspired to learn more confidently and actively as they are “being seen” and “being respected.” All of our teachers hold a bachelor’s degree, and 40% of them have master’s or doctoral degrees.
This year, more top teachers from all over the world joined Daystar. They are from the University of Cambridge, Columbia University, University of Pennsylvania, Northwestern University, New York University, University of Hong Kong, and Peking University.
We Focus on Character Development
People with a strong moral character will be able to make greater achievements in life. They won’t become lost in the complexity of the moment because they will have a broader vision that aims higher.
We place special emphasis on character building and focus on cultivating students’ proper values, resilience, and a sense of service to others. We offer an age-appropriate character curriculum for the students and instruct and encourage them to reflect on their behavior to further clarify and enrich the value and meaning of their lives.
Highly Experienced Counselling Team
Daystar is fortunate to have a highly experienced college counselor, Ms. Melissa Warehall, to lead the college counselling team and support students and families through the college application process. Ms. Warehall was previously a college counselor at the University of Chicago Laboratory Schools, a top-ranked independent school in the United States. She also spent four years as the Director of Publications and Assistant Director of Admissions at the University of Chicago Office of College Admissions, as well as 16 years as the Director of Admissions at the Theatre School at DePaul University (click for more).
Ms. Warehall provides counselling and parent workshops for our students and families as early as Grade 9, as well as college counselling curriculum specifically designed for Daystar students from Grade 10 to 12.
Daystar Offers Scholarship Programs
“Excellence” is one of Daystar’s core values. As such, we identify and recognize outstanding students who excel in all aspects and inspire and support them in achieving their highest aspirations. This is the original intention of Daystar’s Scholarship Program (click for more).

ELC Teachers licensed by AMS
The Daystar Academy Early Learning Center combines themed curriculum with the Montessori method and establishes a platform for students at different levels of cognitive development to interact and exchange with one another, giving them opportunities to explore the world around them, learn skills from each other, and share their feelings and emotions. In doing so, we help them prepare for a wider range of rich academic and social events in elementary school.
Our team of educators are licensed by the American Montessori Society and use their training and rich experience to bring out the best in our youngest learners.
