A commenter for a live-streaming channel authorized by the China Baseball League (the largest baseball league in China), has been called out for making an inappropriate remark—"We don't like foreigners!"—during a live stream.
The 2023 Chinese Baseball League match was held on May 19, and as a camera zoomed toward the audience, revealing two foreigners, the commentator remarked "Oh, foreigners, we don't like foreigners!"
In the clip shared on social media, the commenter then was silent for about one minute before explaining that he meant "they" like to watch little sisters.
"I meant we only like to watch little sisters." The commenter explained.
People who watched the live broadcast said that a netizen asked the commentator why he made such an inappropriate comment, resulting in a one-minute silence before the commentator explained himself.
The channel operating the baseball live-streaming on the site is reportedly "Authorized by the China Baseball Association" to live-stream baseball matches and team events.
The relevant video was taken down from the platform after users complained about the remark, but not before people had already recorded it and shared it on other platforms.
The behavior of the commentator has been condemned by netizens who commented that the remark was unjustifiable.
