According to sources from Exit & Entry authority, the Xuhui Division of the Shanghai Public Security Bureau's Exit and Entry Administration Office has recently uncovered a case of selling entry and exit documents.
The offender, referred to as M, was subjected to administrative penalties, and criminal suspect Cong underwent criminal coercive measures in accordance with the law.In early January, immigration police officers noticed irregularities in the residential and work address information of a foreigner during the verification process of registration information for foreign nationals. They subsequently went to inspect the company. The company's personnel raised significant suspicions when questioned by the police, leading to the summoning of the person in charge, Cong, and the foreigner M.According to the police, during the inquiry, foreigner M admitted to actually working in the catering industry in another province but was unable to obtain a work visa. Introduced to Cong through acquaintances, M sought assistance in obtaining relevant work visa documents and paid 12,000 yuan for the service. Through interrogation, Cong admitted that he was involved in labor dispatch services and was aware that M had a lower educational background, making him ineligible for a work visa. Nevertheless, Cong allowed M to be affiliated with his company for employment status, issuing relevant employment and salary certificates. This enabled M to apply for a work-related residence permit.Currently, the offender M has been administratively penalized. Criminal suspect Cong, accused of the crime of selling entry and exit documents, has been subjected to criminal coercive measures by the Xuhui police, and the case is undergoing further investigation and trial.
