Reader perks: Enjoy family fun with a ping pong tournament
Are you interested in China's table tennis culture? Would you like to try your hand at the sport with other expat families in Shanghai? Join the upcoming City News Service Family Table Tennis Tournament!
It offers a unique opportunity to explore the International Table Tennis Federation Museum and China Table Tennis Museum, participate in fun ping pong games, and compete in a friendly tournament.
Guided by the Information Office of Shanghai Municipality and run by Shanghai Daily, City News Service (CNS) is an English news and service platform. CNS Family is one of its projects to provide local expatriate families with an in-depth experience of the city.
Five to six families will be invited to participate in the table tennis tournament. The total number of participants will be no more than 20, and children must be older than 7 years of age.
To apply, just leave a message on our WeChat account along with your family basic info (including nationality, how many family members to attend and children's age), and contact information (mobile phone number). We will inform the families chosen to attend.

2:30-3:55pm
Enjoy fun table tennis games and collect stamps on your CNS Table Tennis Passport.
3:55-4:30pm
CNS Family representatives will team up with students from the summer school of the Shanghai University of Sports to compete in a table tennis doubles tournament.
4:30-4:35pm
World table tennis champion Ding Song (to be confirmed) will present prize to the participant with the most passport stamps and the winning group of the tournament.
4:35-4:50pm
