Presale discount tickets for the China Shanghai International Children's Book Fair are available on domestic ticketing platform Maoyan.
The exhibition requires real-name registration for admission so all visitors need to bring valid identification documents such as identity cards, passports, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan travel permits for entry after purchasing their tickets.
The fair showcases a wide collection of children's books from both domestic and international markets.
The price of single-day tickets purchased on-site is 80 yuan (US$10.97) for adults and 20 yuan for children under 1.3 meters, while weekend ticket sets are 120 yuan for adults and 30 yuan for children.
If you purchase online tickets in advance on Maoyan, you can enjoy a presale discount with a 70-yuan adult ticket and 10-yuan kid ticket.
Discounted weekend tickets are being sold at 100 yuan for adults and 15 yuan for children. The deadline of presale tickets is November 16.
Besides book displays, sales and other events, this year's children's book fair will also provide a small art market for young illustrators to showcase their works and sell relevant cultural products.
A total of 79 illustrators, studios and emerging designers will bring their works and art derivatives to the market.
The book fair has also launched a citywide reading campaign in November. It is being joined by more than 60 organizations across the country, including READ & SOCIAL@THEBUND, Shanghai Children's Library, Shanghai Book City, Shanghai Illustration Art Center, Shanghai Rockbund Art Museum, Aurora Museum, Powerlong Art Museum and Art Space for Kids.
From November 13 to 28, these venues will hold a series of events including book recommendations, author meetings, interactive experiences, stage performances and other activities.
