A Letter to All Foreign Friends in Tianjin

疫情防控是中国政府和人民当前最重要的工作。党中央、国务院高度重视疫情防控工作，习主席多次作出重要指示，成立党中央应对疫情工作领导小组，全面开展防控工作。

The prevention and containment of novel coronavirus is currently the most imperative task challenging the Chinese government and its people. The CPC Central Committee and the State Council attach high importance to this task. President Xi made several key instructions on the comprehensive fight against the outbreak and called to set up a central working group for containing the epidemic.

中国已经构建以武汉及湖北省为重点，从中央到地方，全方位多层次防控体系，各方面工作公开透明，正科学有序推进。中国政府本着高度负责的态度，面对严峻复杂的疫情形势，采取了任何其他国家都难以做到的坚强有力措施，并将更加坚决有力地执行。

A multi-faceted prevention and control system at both central and local levels has been put in place with Wuhan city and Hubei province as the key priority. All work is proceeding in an open, transparent, and orderly manner. The Chinese government, in the face of a stern and complicated epidemic situation and with a responsible attitude, has taken strong and effective measures, and will further enforce all measures with full resolution.

中共天津市委、市政府坚决落实党中央、国务院重大决策部署，全面落实防控措施。1月28日，中共天津市委召开常委扩大会议，李鸿忠书记对防控工作进行了再动员、再部署。

The CPC Tianjin Municipal Committee and municipal government resolutely implemented decisions and deployment made by the CPC Central Committee and the State Council and made all-out efforts to prevent and control the epidemic. A high-level meeting was convened on January 28th, on which Party Secretary Li Hongzhong made further arrangements and deployment on the prevention and control of the outbreak.

请在津外国友人安心、放心、有信心，天津市政府将履行国际义务，及时解决在津外国公民的合理关切，本着负责任态度保障所有在津外国人的安全。

We would like to reassure foreign friends in Tianjin that the municipal government will fulfill its international obligations and respond to concerns by foreign citizens in Tianjin in a timely manner, and also safeguard the security of all foreign friends in Tianjin with a responsible attitude.
