Freedom from the Bondage of the Flesh

经文：弟兄们，这样看来，我们并不是欠肉体的债去顺从肉体活著。 你们若顺从肉体活著，必要死；若靠著圣灵治死身体的恶行，必要活著。(罗8:12-13)

Scripture Memorization: Therefore, brethren, we are debtors—not to the flesh, to live according  to the flesh. For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit  you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. (Romans 8:12-13)

A) 对『肉体』的本质需有第一手深入的认识

A) Need first-hand knowledge of the nature of the “flesh”

1) 因胜不过试探而犯罪

1) Sinning due to inability to overcome temptations

· 但各人被试探，乃是被自己的私欲牵引诱惑的。私欲既怀了胎，就生出罪来；罪既长成，就生出死来。(雅 1:14-15) / 你们若顺从肉体活著必要死(罗8：13a)

. But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed.Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown,brings forth death (James 1:14-15)/ For if you live according to the flesh you will die(Romans 8:13a)

· 19 情欲的事都是显而易见的，就如姦淫、污秽、邪荡…仇恨、争竞、忌恨、恼怒、结党、纷争、异端、 21 嫉妒、醉酒、荒宴等类。我从前告诉你们，现在又告诉你们，行这样事的人必不能承受 神的国 (加5:19-21)

. 19 Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication,uncleanness, lewdness... hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish  ambitions, dissensions, heresies, 21 envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like;of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those whopractice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God (Galatians 5:19-21)

2) 因活不出律法而失败（罗马书第7章）

2) Failure due to inability to obey the law (Romans 7)

· 我也知道，在我里头，就是我肉体之中，没有良善。因為，立志為善由得我，只是行出来由不得我。(罗 7：18)

. For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh) nothing good dwells; for to will is presentwith me, but how to perform what is good I do not find (Romans 7:18)

· 22 因為按著我里面的意思( - 原文是人)，我是喜欢 神的律； 23但我觉得肢体中另有个律和我心中的律交战，把我掳去，叫我附从那肢体中犯罪的律。我真是苦啊！谁能救我脱离这取死的身体呢？(罗7:22-24)

. 22 For I delight in the law of God according to the inward man. 23 But I see another lawin my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. 24 O wretched man that I am! Who will deliver  me from this body of death? (Romans 7:22-24)

3) 属血气的人不领会 神圣灵的事，并且喜欢逼迫那圣灵的

3) The natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, but likes to persecute those born  according to the Spirit

· 属血气的人不领会 神圣灵的事，反倒以為愚拙，并且不能知道…(林前2：14)

. But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are  foolishness to him; nor can he know them...(1 Cor 2:14)

· 当时那按著血气生的，逼迫了那按著圣灵生的。现在也是这样…(加4：29)

. But, as he who was born according to the flesh then persecuted him who was born  according to the Spirit, even so it is now... (Galatians 4:29)

B) 认识 神怎麼看待肉体

B) How God views the flesh

· 7 原来体贴肉体的，就是与神為仇；因為不服神的律法，也是不能服， 8 而且属肉体的人不能得神的喜欢。(罗8:7-8)

. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God,nor indeed can be. 8 So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God (Romans 8:7-8)

· 19 情欲的事都是显而易见的，就如…我从前告诉你们，现在又告诉你们，行这样事的人必不能承受神的国。 (加5:19-21)

. 19 Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are:… of which I tell you beforehand,just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit  the kingdom of God (Galatians 5:19-21)

· 因為情欲和圣灵相争，圣灵和情欲相争，这两个是彼此相敌，使你们不能 作所愿意作的。（加5：17）

. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish (Galatians 5:17)

C) 我们当如何从肉体的辖制中得释放

C) How we can be freed from the bondage of the flesh

1) 认识旧人(肉体)已经与基督同钉十字架

1) Knowing that our old man (flesh) has been crucified with Christ

· 6 因為知道我们的旧人和他同钉十字架，使罪身灭绝，叫我们不再作罪的奴僕； 7 因為已死的人是脱离了罪。(罗6:6-7)

. 6 knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might bedone away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin. 7 For he who has died has been freed from sin (Romans 6:6-7)

· 我已经与基督同钉十字架，现在活的不再是我，乃是基督在我里面活…(加2:20) / 凡属基督耶穌的人，是已经把肉体连肉体的邪情私欲同钉在十字架上了。 (加5:24)

. I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me…(Galatians 2:20)/ And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires (Galatians 5:24)

· 12 弟兄们，这样看来，我们并不是欠肉体的债去顺从肉体活著。 13 你们若顺从肉体活著，必要死；若靠著圣灵治死身体的恶行，必要活著。(罗8:12-13)

 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors—not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. 13For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to deaththe deeds of the body, you will live (Romans 8:12-13)

2) 不要体贴肉体，不為肉体安排

2) Do not be carnally minded, do not make provision for the flesh

· 随从肉体的人体贴肉体的事；随从圣灵的人体贴圣灵的事。 体贴肉体的，就是死；体贴圣灵的，乃是生命、平安。(罗 8:5-6）

. For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. 6 For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace (Romans 8:5-6)

· 总要披戴主耶穌基督，不要為肉体安排，去放纵私欲。(罗13：14)

. But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts(Romans 13:14)

3) 行在圣灵里，进入真自由

3) Walk in the Spirit and enter into true freedom

· 我们若是靠圣灵得生，就当靠圣灵行事。(加5:25)

. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit (Galatians 5:25)

· …你们当顺著圣灵而行，就不放纵肉体的情欲了。 (加5:16)

. …Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh (Galatians 5:16)

· …赐生命圣灵的律，在基督耶穌里释放了我，使我脱离罪和死的律了。…使律法的义成就在我们这『不随从肉体、只随从圣灵』的人身上( 罗 8:1-2, 4)

. … For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sinand death...that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who “do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit” (Romans 8:1-2, 4)

· 主就是那灵；主的灵在那里，那里就得以自由（林后3：17）

. Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty (2 Cor3:17)
