Greatest moment ever?
September 7, 2006. Fabio Grosso kicks the last penalty goal. Italy wins the FIFA World Cup.
Greatest moment in Euros?
Euro 2012, when we arrived in the final with Spain and eliminated Germany.
Worst moment ever?
The Korea World Cup in 2002. We lost unjustly against a corrupt system, specifically the referee Byron Moreno. This was the biggest scandal in the history of Italian football.
Worst moment in Euros?
Euro 2000, when we lost the final against France.
Where you and your countrymen (and women) will be watching it in Beijing?
Probably at my place, with few cases of Peroni beer and tons of pizza!
Song(s) the fans sing?
The White Stripes’ “Seven Nation Army.”
Biggest rivals?
France of course!
Star Man?
The star men are for sure Gianluigi Buffon (below) and Daniele De Rossi.
One to watch?
Actually this Italian team is really young with a lot of new players. For sure we should watch Lorenzo Insigne or Matteo Darmian.
Bad Boy?
When you say bad boy I think of Mario Balotelli, but unfortunately he not gonna join this Euro Cup.
Boy Blunder?
In Italy we don’t mess things up…we fix things!
Heart Throb?
Lorenzo Insigne because, like me, he comes from Napoli…pizza e mandolino!
So what are your chances?
The team is quite young. Let’s pray to God and Forza Italia!!!!
