6月17日下午15时54分，神舟12号与天和核心舱完成自主快速交会对接。18时48分，航天员聂海胜、刘伯明和汤洪波先后进入核心舱。
China has been making historical achievements in space as three Chinese astronauts successfully entered the country's space station. The unprecedented space advances have attracted all the attention as more technical specifics are unfolded.
北京航天飞行控制中心空间站任务总师孙军介绍，航天员进入空间站后，第一步要做的是设置电解制氧档位，安装水箱，解决用水吃水，主要是和基本生活有关的一些工作。另外他们还要对睡眠区进行整理。18日上午，3名航天员在天和核心舱安装了事先带去的无线WiFi，之后会陆续安置必要的日常生活所需，以及进入到货运飞船，把事先带上去的一些物品运到核心舱进行安装，时间预计将持续一周左右。
中国设计师们为航天员预留了相对充裕的生活环境，舱内活动空间从天宫一号的15立方米提升到了整站110立方米，简直是从“筒子间”搬进了“大平层”。A wireless control system is also set up for astronauts to manage all the lighting and amenities and updates on the inventory. 天舟二号货运飞船已于5月底提前与中国空间站天和核心舱顺利实现了快速交会对接。目前已知的天舟二号携带的货物中，不仅包括空间站推进剂等包裹，还包括鱼香肉丝、宫保鸡丁等航天员在轨生活所享用的“外卖”。中国的空间站不但为航天员配备了折叠式厨房，还有冰箱、微波炉和饮水机，可以让他们吃到120多种食品。食谱是按航天员的个人喜好定制的，每周安排一次，重复率很低。四次任务乘组的12名航天员，都能吃到各自喜爱的食物。Over 120 different dishes, including such Chinese classics as Kung Pao chicken, were prepared and delivered to the Chinese space station by Tianzhou-2 last month. Huang Weifen, one of the chief designers of the Chinese manned space program, said the menu was designed to be of high quality and appetizing for astronauts. A foldable kitchen with a microwave oven, refrigerator, and water dispenser, were also sent to the space station.
