Titled "The Media Challengers," the official song of CGTN’s global campaign features British musician Shaun Gibson among others. However, he was contacted by the Times and Daily Mail to get his comments for the so-called "helping to spread Chinese propaganda." Interestingly, neither Shaun’s case nor his reply made the cut in the two articles. Why has the global campaign to seek talents become a politically charged event in some media outlets?
