当地时间3月17日，联合国安理会审议乌克兰难民问题。中国常驻联合国代表张军在发言中称，中方支持有关当事方保持沟通，确保人道走廊安全畅通，继续为人员撤离和人道救援提供便利。
张军强调，能够保持谈判就有实现停火的希望，就能开辟和平的未来。中方将继续劝和促谈，我们支持联合国和各方大力开展斡旋努力，也希望各方都能多做有利于促进和谈而不是火上浇油的事情。
Zhang Jun, China's Permanent Representative to the United Nations (UN), said the following at a briefing session on the Russia-Ukraine conflict at the UN Security Council on March 17: "Keeping the negotiations going means there is a chance for ceasefire, and that there is a chance for a peaceful future. China remains committed to promoting peace through negotiations. We support the UN and the parties concerned in vigorously carrying out good offices. We also hope that all parties will do more to facilitate peace talks, and not to add fuel to fire."
