开年拼经济 | 蜡像雕塑师“刻”出个新未来

2023年初的上海，蜡像雕塑师高旭东正在为源源不断的订单忙碌着。在繁复的制作工序中，他与负责各环节的同事们协调合作，力求完美，也在不断精进着自己的技艺。怀揣对美术的热爱和对历史的思考，高旭东用自己的双手，为蜡像注入栩栩如生的灵魂。

近两个月，公司接到的订单比往年同期增加了50%。文化和历史主题的蜡像、雕塑将运往全国的博物馆和景区，迎接经济回暖后的旅游热潮。随着跨境交通的恢复，公司也将带着来自中国的高质量蜡像走向海外市场。

Since the start of the year, Shanghai-based sculptor Gao Xudong has been inundated with orders. He produces wax sculptures, a complicated process that requires him to cooperate with his colleagues at every stage of the operation. His love for art and deep interest in history enable Gao to instill a soul into his wax figures. While striving for perfection, he is constantly improving his own skill.

In the past two months, the company Gao works for has received 50 percent more orders than in the same period of previous years. With China currently experiencing a tourism boom, they are shipping statues and sculptures on a cultural and historical theme to museums and scenic spots across the country. And as cross-border traffic opens up, the company is also supplying the overseas market with its high-quality wax figures.
