Keep calm, Brits of BJ, but Arrow Factory now does roast dinners
With Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes, gravy and more
Football. Tea. Moaning about the weather. Brexit. All #VeryBritishThings for sure, but few things tug at the heartstrings of a thoroughly homesick British person like a Sunday roast. Like all good things in life, Sunday roast lunch is hearty, warming and doused liberally in gravy – a sheer joy, frankly, that Beijing has largely been missing out on. Until now, that is.
Just in time for the holiday season and Beijing's early onset winter chill, Arrow Factory and Vineyard Café have launched a traditional Sunday roast beef lunch featuring all the trimmings – Yorkshire pudding included. Priced at 128RMB per person, this meat-laden Sunday blow-out features slices of roast Australian beef, roast potatoes and parsnip, Brussels sprouts, Yorkshire pudding, horseradish and gravy. Lunch-goers can also enjoy any house beer, wine and prosecco for an additional 30RMB, as well as any dessert on the menu for a further 30RMB.
Advanced bookings are a must, and must be made by Friday evening this week (the deadline from next week onwards will be Thursday) as the Liangmaqiao brewpub requires at least eight people in total to go ahead each week. To make a reservation, add Arrow Factory's marketing manager Justin on WeChat ID: justinkyc or call 8532 5335 – make sure you mention you're reserving the Sunday roast beef lunch.
