Step into a metaverse at this underground CBD lounge
In association with Beijing Design Week and ELF207 Lounge
In the mood for somewhere new to drink? If uncovering a hidden bar and getting transported to a different visual dimension sounds like your idea of a good time, then check out Elf, an underground lounge located in CBD.
As far as dramatic entrances go, it makes quite an impression, with a concealed vault door entrance squirreled away in the back of a basement in CBD's Office Park.
Pushing open the door and following the guide of neon lights lining the wall and ceiling, you will feel like stepping into a metaverse of sorts. The interior is designed to look like a cave, outfitted with minerals, crystals and various geometric-patterned installations adding an extra touch of mystery to the space.
Once you're inside, it'd be hard to miss the the bar. Built into a large bespoke sculpture that looks like half man half robot, it certainly evokes a sense of magic realism and adds to the mystique.
Gimmicks aside, the lounge looks to be the sort of spot where you can mix the night up a little as you go. It's split over two floors, with mixed low-slung leather seats, booth seating for groups, a stage for live music, as well as pool tables and cellars for whiskey and wine on the first floor.
There are also five different themed rooms situated upstairs, including karaoke rooms for those looking to amp up the party.
