女王去世，查尔斯登基，凯特夺权……BBC新剧开了个年度最大的脑洞
话说，感觉英国宫廷剧一直都是追剧群众喜闻乐见的style啊~
比如说，去年这部讲述大名鼎鼎的维多利亚女王少女时代的宫廷剧《维多利亚》（Victoria）↓↓↓

而讲述现任英女王伊丽莎白二世的传记剧《王冠》(The Crown) 更是大受好评，今年还获得了金球奖~

目前，这两部剧的第一季都已更新完毕，可放心入坑~
感受到了观众们对于此类剧集的热情，于是BBC最近又紧跟潮流，推出了一部宫廷风的电视电影——《查尔斯三世》（King Charles III）！
围观群众：咦？话说这人是谁？？？
没听说过就对了，因为这位君主，现在还没登基呢……
没错，BBC的这部新片改编自一部获得劳伦斯·奥利弗奖（英国戏剧及音乐剧奖最高奖）的同名舞台剧，讲述的就是英国查尔斯王储的故事，而且脑补的是他超长待机的母上大人去世后，王储最终得以成为一国之君……
怎么样？惊不惊喜？意不意外？
虽然说，这部剧的脑洞比碗口还大，但秉承着BBC一贯的严谨作风，该剧画风还是力求写实，就连长大版的乔治小王子和夏洛特小公主竟然在片中都有出现↓↓↓
而关于“查尔斯三世”、“威廉王储”等片中一众主角的脑洞，更是（不怕死？）地越开越大……
先来认识一下剧中的王室成员↓↓↓

（咦？怎么感觉剧版的查尔斯爷俩头发比真人多是怎么回事？BBC好贴心呢……）

故事要从2020年开始说起，那时，菲利普亲王和英女王将双双撒手人寰，先后离世（←这叙述style简直诡异……）。
一开场就是这种阴郁的画风：民众在街头送别女王的灵柩↓↓↓
在母亲的葬礼上，即将成为查尔斯三世的查尔斯王储望着灵柩，没有留下一滴眼泪。
古稀之年的老王储走到教堂一角，深吸一口气，缓缓地说了一句“最终（要登基了！）”(At last)。
"At last, I needed room for thought to breathe. My life has been lingering for a throne. Sometimes I must confess I imagine my mother happened to die before her time - a helicopter crash, a rare disease. So at early age, I'd be in charge. Before me, years of constant, stable rule... but I am better thoughtful Prince than King. Potential holds appeal, since in its castle walls one is protected from the awful shame of failure."
“最终，我需要一点让思绪呼吸的空间。我的一生都在为王位徘徊。坦白说，有时我曾想过母亲意外早逝 - 比如直升机坠毁、罕见绝症等等。这样我在年轻的时候就能掌权了。在我执政之前，常年都是稳定的统治……但我更适合当个周到的王储，而非国王。既然在城堡高墙的保护下能免受失败的耻辱，那么可能性就带着吸引力。”
当然，在BBC的脑洞下，查尔斯是不可能这么顺利地就登基的（心疼查尔斯一秒钟）……
To imagine the death of the monarch in Tudor times was high treason. These days, it is merely appalling bad taste.
Charles III (BBC2) began with the funeral of the Queen – supposedly dead, in the very near future, just weeks after the Duke of Edinburgh.
The new king (Tim Pigott-Smith) turned to the cameras and murmured his first line:‘At last!’
这样的剧情设定可谓是脑洞大开，令人目瞪口呆。在英文中，我们可以用mind-boggling 一词来形容这部剧，意为“令人难以置信的”、“令人惊异的”。如：Astronomy, the study of stars, has many mind-boggling theories. （天文学里有许多令人难以置信的理论。）
为了令查尔斯的登基之路走得难上加难，感觉BBC也是穷尽了脑洞给他添堵。
因为，从BBC给出的官方人物设定中可以看出，对于王位，每个角色心里都有着自己的小心思。
查尔斯：我的一生都在为王位徘徊
Charles: My life has been a lingering for the throne
Charles has waited his whole life to wear the crown, groomed for power but accepting his role as Prince during his mother’s long and stable reign.
查尔斯终其一生都在等待着戴上王冠、登顶权力之巅的一刻，但在母亲漫长而又稳固的统治岁月中，他只能接受自己王储的身份。
The Queen’s death comes as a huge personal blow – Charles has lost his mother. But it also offers the long-awaited chance to rule at last.
女王之死对他而言是个巨大的冲击——查尔斯失去了自己的母亲。但最终也给了他期待已久的统治机会。
Charles’ deeply principled nature, combined with his strong opinions, soon lead the new King to test whether, in the twenty-first century, the British crown still has any real power.

William: I will never step across my father’s right
William has always been raised in the knowledge he will one day ascend to the throne.
威廉从小就被灌输这种思想：终有一日，他将登上王位。
This has formed in him a deep consciousness of the importance of following tradition and precedent.
这令他形成了一种要遵循传统和先例的根深蒂固的观念。
On the other hand, he knows the value of good PR and has enjoyed popular acclaim - fuelled by his marriage to Kate - revitalising the royal brand for a new generation.

He has deep respect and affection for his father, Charles, although the loss of his mother, Diana, casts a long, unspoken shadow across all their lives.

Married to William, Kate will be a Queen when he ascends the throne.

燃鹅，对于BBC这一画风清奇的神脑洞，不少网友却表示并不买账……
“#查尔斯三世完全是个迂腐的垃圾作品，毫无演技而言，且还是BBC那一套的不怀好意的风格！不看了！”
“不好意思，你失去了我这名观众– 僵硬的演技、无聊的故事情节-我真的很想喜欢这部影片，然而……#查尔斯三世”

然而，和一众网友对BBC这一脑洞接受无能疯狂吐槽的画风相比，不少一向挑剔的外媒却给这部电影打出了高分。
