秀水街老板娘狂飙英语砍价,歪果仁都懵了!就问没字幕你能听懂吗

“登长城、游故宫、吃烤鸭、逛秀水”,北京的秀水街(Silk Street)早已是不少外国友人必打卡之处~


因为每天要面对形形色色的歪果仁顾客,秀水街售货员们的英语也是分分钟6到飞起 (当然也不光是英语,还有店家精通西班牙语、德语、法语等多国语言)……


而最近,一段秀水街老板娘和歪果仁全英文高能砍价的视频火了,实力展现了一把秀水街·店家的英语水平233333↓↓↓

视频中,老板娘很老练地问道:“你想试穿下吗?”,“你出多少钱?”,展开了自己的销售套路(笑)~



然而,没过多久在老板娘报出价格之后,歪果仁顾客明显觉得价格太高了,双方陷入了讲价的僵持……


老板娘率先祭出了“讨价还价”的第一式:激将法↓↓↓


老板娘(脾气急躁地):“你出多少钱?”(How much do you wanna buy?)

(歪果仁顾客没有给出正面回答)

老板娘(气急败坏地):“我在问你呢!”(I ask you!)


Obviously, the woman in the video is a veteran among these “sales elites.” With questions including “Do you wanna try?” and “How much do you wanna buy?", the sale talk starts.


However, when the lady says the price, the customer says that it is too much and the quick-tempered woman seems annoyed by the delay.


“How much do you wanna buy?", she repeats the question loudly. Looking at this “indecisive” customer, she yells “I ask you!” But actually she is not really angry, it is her selling technique.


在步步紧逼之下,这位外国小哥(小声地)说出了自己的报价,老板娘听闻价格后一脸的难以置信,遂使出第二招:对比法↓↓↓


老板娘(难以置信脸):“这可是新款!你知道一双拖鞋多少钱吗?如果你真有心想买的话,告诉我你觉得多少钱合适!”(This is new model. Do you know how much the slippers are? If you wanna buy, give me your best price.)


(小哥听闻拖鞋也要500块之后,也是一脸的难以置信)

老板娘(再接再厉道):“这个价格没人会卖给你!这不是女鞋、不是童鞋也不是袜子。你懂吗?”("Nobody will sell it to you at this price. Not lady shoes, not baby shoes and not socks. You understand?)


 “This is new model. Do you know how much the slippers are? If you wanna buy, give me your best price,” the woman uses her selling skills actively.


When the buyer is still haggling, she adheres to the lecture "Nobody will sell it to you at this price. Not lady shoes, not baby shoes and not socks. You understand?”

上文中的haggle意为“讲价”、“讨价还价”。如:Ella showed her the best places to go for a good buy, and taught her how to haggle with used furniture dealers. (埃拉告诉她买便宜货的最佳去处,还教她怎样与二手家具商讨价还价。)


经过几轮讨价还价后,这位外国小哥眼见讲价无望,欲转身离去,最后还是老板娘使出了“双方各退一步”的赞美法↓↓↓


(老板娘最终给出250块的“成本价”)

老板娘(诚意脸):“你知道为啥这个价卖给你吗?因为你长得帅啊!”(I give you this price because you are very handsome.)


After several rounds of bargaining, the woman finally agrees to sell the shoes at her so-called “cost” price and says, “I give you this price because you are very handsome.”


老板娘虽然全程都在飙英文,但本君觉得最厉害的,还是她用英文说出了中文杀价的气势……

“你看,你不想买还在问我价格”

(You see, you don’t wanna buy, you askin’ me)


这段视频上传到微博上之后立刻走红,引发众多网友围观,虽然网友认为大姐的态度不够礼貌,但更多人对大姐这一口“秀水街英语”是服气的↓↓↓


这段视频上传到国外网站上后,外国网友也被“秀水街英语”给惊艳到了↓↓↓


“我很惊讶地发现,他们所有人在买卖东西时,英语说得都比大多数欧盟国家的人好!”


而这位网友关注的点也是有点歪了……


“他们敲计算器的速度比我上数学课时还快!”


不过,并非只有这位外国小哥撞上了会讲“秀水街·实用·英语”的店家,不少歪果仁也都遇到过这样的情况,加拿大广播公司 (CBC) 就曾采访过在秀水街购物的歪果仁们~


Noella TenEyck认为购物在中国简直可以成为一项奥运赛事了~


"Shopping here should be an Olympic sport," says Noella TenEyck, who came to Beijing for the Summer Games. 

“在这里,购物应该成为一项奥运赛事,”前来北京看奥运会的Noella TenEyck说道。


TenEyck found herself competing against vendors for the gold in the sport of haggling.

TenEyck发现自己和店家们展开了争夺“讨价还价”项目金牌的比赛。


"It was culture shock," says TenEyck, who bought some jewelry for her daughter. "It's not something you do at your local store in your hometown. Some of them didn't like to budge, especially [at] the souvenir shops."    

“那是场文化冲击,”为女儿买了些珠宝的TenEyck表示。“你不会在家乡当地的小店里这么做。一些人不喜欢讲价,尤其是在纪念品商店里。”


而游客Leslie Belliveau表示,不想买东西就别和店家有眼神接触啊!(毕竟,确认过眼神,你就是想买的人)

规矩1:学习一些简单的普通话

Whole transactions can even be wordless as you hand the calculator back and forth with the seller. But opening with some simple Mandarin phrases will ease you up to the bargaining table and will put a smile on the vendor's face.


整场交易甚至都不用说话,通过计算器和卖家讨价还价便可完成。但一开始说些简单的普通话会让你在砍价的时候更放松,也会让店家的脸上浮现出笑容。


规矩2:砍价时,出价得是要价的零头

Start at a Fraction of the Asking Price


Deciding how low to begin your side of the bargaining depends on what you're shopping for. Typically, if shopping for inexpensive items, I'll go 25-50% lower than the asking price.


依据你自己要买啥来决定一开始要砍掉多少价。通常来说,如果要买的东西不贵,我会出比要价低25-50%的价格。


规矩3:用不贵的小东西来练练手

Practice a Little on Inexpensive Items


Before you have your heart set on something, practice bargaining a little for something to which you are less attached and can, therefore, walk away if need be. Small inexpensive items like tea pots, fans and chopsticks can all be good things to buy for souvenirs. Warm up a little before you get into the higher ticket items.


在你看中一些商品前,试着通过一些你没那么喜欢的商品来练习讲价,必要的话离开那家店就行了。茶壶、扇子、筷子等不贵的小东西都很适合买来做纪念品。在你要买一些更高价的东西时先练练手~


规矩4:别急,慢慢来

Take Your Time


If you can, take time and don't be rushed. If the seller isn't coming down on the item you want, walk away and peruse other stalls. You might find it cheaper elsewhere and you can use the price to drive the other vendor down.


如果可以的话,慢慢来别赶时间。如果你看中的商品价格和店家谈不拢的话,就离开那家店去别家买。你或许会找着别家更便宜的店,再用那个价格和店家砍价。


规矩5:明确自己愿意花多少钱买下这件商品

Decide How Much You're Willing to Spend on an Item


A good way to defend yourself against the shopping demons that force you to pay too much for stuff you didn't really want is to decide as you look at something that it's worth to you.


不想花高价买些自己不喜欢的东西,一个好方法是只看你觉得值得买的商品。


规矩6:使用“假意离开”法

Use the "Walk Away"


I love the Walk Away and I find in big touristy places like Panjiayuan Market or Pearl's Circles, it usually works quite well. After you reach an impasse and the price is still too high, I give my final offer and walk away slowly but looking pointedly at other items. Usually, I'm called back. Sometimes I'm not and I have to live with the disappointment or put my tail between my legs and go back to pay a higher price.


我喜欢“假装要走”这个方法,而且这招在北京潘家园市场以及上海珍珠市场等旅游景点很好用。如果你们还价陷入了僵局,价格还是太高的话,我最后会给出自己合适的价格,慢慢地假意离开,看看其他的商品。通常店家都会再把我叫回来。有时候,这法子行不通,我就只能失望离去,或者厚着脸皮回去,以更高的价格买下它。


规矩7:别对卖家感到不好意思

Don’t Feel Sorry for the Seller


The vendor is making a profit, don't you worry. They are not going to sell you anything out of the goodness of their hearts. It's a game and it's fun to play. So play right back and say something like "Yes, but now I can't afford to have any dinner either!"


店家绝对能赚钱,所以不需要担心。他们绝不会大发善心做亏本买卖。这是场很好玩的博弈。所以可以用这些话怼回去:“对呀,但我现在也吃不起晚饭了。“


规矩8:小心财物

Be Careful with Your Belongings


Crowded markets are a pick-pocket's haven. If you can, divide your cash up in several places (front pockets, money belt, wallet, purse) and don't carry your passport unless you have to.


拥挤的市场一定会有不少扒手。如果可以的话,把钱分散放在几个地方(如前侧口袋、腰包、钱包、手提袋等),如果非必要的话,不要随身带你的护照。

买一送一怎么样? (这里的“buy one get one free”是一个名词短语。)


5. Can you give me a better deal?

可以给我更便宜的价钱吗?  


6. I’d buy it right away if it were cheaper.

便宜一点的话我马上买。


7. The price is beyond my budget.

这价钱超出我的预算了。


8. I’ll give you $50 for it.

五十块我就买。
