It shouldn’t be too confusing for airport goers to figure out where they’re supposed to go, but the airport isn’t taking the transition lightly. Extra staff will be on hand to assist any passengers who have trouble finding their way around. Spring Airlines has promised to offer ticket refunds for those who miss their flights because of the changes, and China Eastern will be sending messages to remind passengers.

These renovations began in 2014 and sought to ease traffic congestion in the surrounding areas, as well as foot traffic in and around the airport. Newly added features include a direct link to the terminal from the Yan’an Road highway, a new three-story parking lot, 40% more floor space inside the terminal and higher ceilings.
Full renovations of Building B are expected to be finished sometime in mid 2018.
