Here's What to Expect From Jiashan Market

With Christmas fast approaching, it's market season in Shanghai and BOY do we love markets. All the cottage industries come out of the woodwork and tempt us with their wares. And I ask you, what better way to do your early Christmas shopping than whilst getting fat and drunk at one of the many markets?



Jiashan market is one of my favorites, so I got in touch with the organizers to see what vendors would be taking part this year and what I could look forward to seeing/eating/drinking/buying.

ECHO STUDIO

 


Probably my favorite jewelery designer in Shanghai, ECHO STUDIO makes original and custom pieces. mainly focusing on modern oriental design, natural materials and elegant detailing. These products are all unusual and really speak to you. They are also REALLY reasonably priced!

Berdnik

Whisper garden is a beautiful flower shop which has a stall at Jiashan market. They have just started a weekly delivery service where you can spend RMB 158 for 4 weeks of flower delivery to your home or office. It’s well worth popping down to Jiashan and checking them out!

9th District Artisan Coffee Roastery

 


Enjoy artisan coffee from 9th District Artisan Coffee Roastery. They make Turkish style coffee. Their beans are searched among the best possible coffee farms produce, non-stop all year around. The cheese makers of Beijing are going to be having a stall at Jiashan this winter. They make all of their products here in China and have some I.N.C.R.E.D.B.L.E. soft cheeses. I love their Burrata, which is well worth a taste!

Lemons

 


Lemons is a private cocktail company that services private parties, corporate events, and festivals in the Shanghai area. Lemons custom-create a new menu for every event, using only fresh juices, homemade infused syrups, and premium spirits. In addition to catering, Lemons also run a Cocktail Lab which hosts regular cocktail lessons, private events, and tastings. Check them and their delicious cocktails out at Jiashan!

Arepabar

 


Arepabar is a gourmet Venezuelan food stall that brings the best Latin and Venezuelan flavors to Shanghai. At  Jiashan Market you will find various Arepa (Corn based bread) flavors, from our two best sellers, Shredded Beef and Chicken Avocado, to our special Vegan Arepa, they’re all healthy, tasty and gluten-free! Arepabar also offers Patacones, a fried plantain wafers topped with the same fillings of the Arepas. And at Jiashan they will be serving a Sugar Cane drink and a Venezuelan Rum & Coke.

OH.MY.BURGER! is a gourmet burger joint with a uniquely Asian twist, and is famously known for serving the first ramen burger in Shanghai. They will be at Jiashan Market selling their famous Ramen Burger, Shredded Pork Burger and Duck Fries as well as a few house sodas.
