Suning Opens Unstaffed Store in Shanghai

Bingobox, Gorilla convenience stores, and now you can add Suning to the list of unstaffed shops in Shanghai. ‘Suning.com Biu’ is the companies second staff-less location (the first in Shanghai), and it even allows ‘face-scanning shopping.’

The 100 square meter shop is a mix of supermarket, department store, sporting goods and other products. Visitors can download the Suning APP and pay for items directly in store. 

The company announced it will be opening 10 more staff-less locations around Shanghai, as well as in other cities throughout China, including Beijing, Chongqing and Xuzhou.
