Taste Authentic Australian Flavors all November with mr willis

Tourism Australia has partnered up with mr willis under Restaurant Australia for the second year running to present the best of Australia’s food and wine offerings to China. This year, to add a touch of the Australian sun, sand and sea, Restaurant Australia will also feature Friends of Australia Guy Turland and Mark Alston of the Bondi Harvest fame.

Restaurant Australia 2018 is a month-long series of culinary-themed activities kicking off with the Bondi Harvest at HENKES Pop-Up experience from November 1-3, 2018 featuring a special five-course set menu jointly designed by Guy Turland and Craig Willis – the mastermind behind the mr willis family of restaurants.

This five-course menu will put the spotlight on the superstars of Australian cuisine such as freshly shucked oysters that taste just like the sea, grass and grain fed Australian Black Angus rib eye aged for 120 days for maximum tenderness, and the succulent North Queensland barramundi.

Salt baked baby barrundi, shaved fennel, waterdress & citris salad with black garlic aioli and lemon

Through the month of November, foodies in Shanghai can revel in a three-course Restaurant Australia set menu at eight restaurants under mr willis catering brand- mr willis, HENKES, Mi Thai, Pelikan, Sushi Raku as well as three BANG outlets. This set menu will highlight signature Australian produce and ingredients including barramundi, lamb, beef and even dairy products such as Australian yoghurt pudding.
