ATP Masters 1000 is Back in Shanghai
As the only ATP 1000-rated tournament in the Asia Pacific region, the Rolex Shanghai Masters will be back during the National Day this year after a three-year absence.
As one of the symbolic buildings in Minhang District, Qizhong Tennis Center is the largest tennis court in Asia, covering an area of 508 acres, with 6 indoor and 16 outdoor tennis courts.
Since 2005, Qizhong Tennis Center has held four Shanghai Tennis Masters Cup and eleven Rolex Shanghai Masters.
It is reported that the upcoming Rolex Shanghai Masters will be extended from 7 days to 12 days, and more famous tennis players will take part in the match.
In order to better serve the players, the upgrade and renovation of the supporting facilities of Qizhong Tennis Center is also being carried out. Except from holding the match, the stadium will also be used to improve sports services for citizens.
