BADLANDS

Shanghai Supperclub is celebrating five years of exquisite parties in Shanghai with 'an evening of Shanghai vice set in the 1930s.' BADLANDS will be taking over three-storeys of the private member's club, One Xintiandi, with the best of fashion, food and drinks.

Elevator Out

The beloved Elevator on Xinle Lu is shutting its elevator doors and moving onto bigger things. The first being a monster bash at Modern Sky Lab. The Halloween rave will be led by MIIA, Michael Cignarale, Provoda, Deep 19 and more. Elevator, out.

Dia de Los Muertos Calavera Party at FUNKA del Sur

FUNKA del Sur is having a Calavera Party to celebrate Dia de los Muertos, the Day of the Dead. Calaveras are those decorative skulls made to honor departed loved ones. The tradition has also inspired beautiful art through face painting, popularizing the 'calavera look' over the Day of the Dead.

The Cannery Bloc Party Feast

Shanghai's chefs are coming outta their kitchens for an afternoon of food stalls, culinary trash talking, aperitivo, tiki bars, beer kegs, pumpkin carving, lawn games and DJ tunes. Bring along your pups for this dog-friendly event. Go to feast and stay for the Halloween after-party.

2018 WGC-HSBC Champions

The 2018 WGC-HSBC Champions is a five-day tournament which attracts the best players from around the world, including last year's champion Justin Rose and past champions such as Dustin Johnson (2013), Ian Poulter (2012) and Francesco Molinari (2000).

NTS Radio Live

China Social Club invites Endy, Ikke and Swimful to play sets through the afternoon at Uptown RnB on leafy Yongfu Lu. Have a beer, hang on the street and listen to some of Shanghai's best DJs and producers. 4-5pm China Social Club, 5-6pm Endy, 6-7pm Ikke, 7-8pm Swimful.

New Shake City

Shanghai's house of funk and soul takes it back to the '90s with a concert featuring the music of TLC, Jade, Janet, BBD, Michael, Ginuwine and more. Singer/producer Courtney Knott directs and stars in this show, joined by Shake's six-piece band. Dressing up in bold colours each night is encouraged and there will be a costume contest held on Sat 27 with winners announced at midnight. Dinner starts at 6pm, live music begins at 10.30pm.

YYT Halloween Tribute Show

A Halloween bash at underground music venue Yuyintang Park, this tribute night sees local greats honouring the best of rock with Foo Fighters, Smashing Pumpkins, Blur and Devo to kick off the sickest Halloween weekend. Don't forget to hit up the afterparty at soon-to-be-shuttered Specters.

China Social Club: Cookbook

China Social Club is taking over DADA Shanghai and it's all about food, food, food. The music references food; the visuals are all food and please feel free to BYO disco snacks. They will also be releasing a cookbook, free for early comers and a very fair donation for late arrivals.

Comedy UN: Welcome to Halloween Special
