Part 1. Overall Mobile Phone Market in China

February domestic mobile phone shipments reached 29.6 million units, up 33.0 percent year over year. 34 new models were released in the month, down 44.3percent year over year.

YTD domestic mobile phone shipments reached 76.4million units and YTD number of new model release reached97, up6.7 percent and down 31.7percent year over year, respectively.

Part 2.Development of 4G Mobile Phones

February domestic 4G mobile phone shipments were27.8million units, up36.7percent year over year, and represented 94.2percent of the total shipments. 27new 4G models were released in the month, down 46.0 percent year over year, accounting for 79.4percent of the total new models this month.

YTD domestic 4G mobile phone shipments were 73.0 million units, up 13.3percent year over year, and represented 95.5 percent of the total shipments. YTD number of new model release reached77, down 28.7 percent year over year, accounting for 79.4 percent of the total new model release.

Out of the total 4G mobile phone shipments this month, 79.0 percent of which were all networks supported, and88.3%, 97.8%,87.6%, 79.6% of the 4G mobile phones shipped supported FDD LTE, TD-SCDMA, WCDMA, cdma2000 network, respectively.

Part 3.Local and MNC Brands of Mobile Phones

February mobile phone shipments by the local brands reached 26.2million units, up36.7percent year over year, accounting for 88.7 percent of the domestic mobile phone shipments. Number of new models released by the local brands(32 units)decreased by 46.7 percent year over year, and represented 94.1percent of the total number of new model release in the month.

YTD mobile phone shipments by the local brands reached67.0million units, up 8.4percent year over year, and accounted for 87.7 percent of the domestic mobile phone shipments. Number of new models released by the local brands (90 units) decreased by 31.8 percent year over year,and represented92.8 percent of the total number of new model release in the domestic market.

Part 4.Development of Smart Phones

February smart phone shipments were 27.8million units, up 35.5 percent year over year, and accounted for 94.2percent of the domestic mobile phone shipments in the month.Of the total smartphone shipments,22.7 million units were Android-based.

YTD smart phone shipments were72.9million units, up 11.9percent year over year, and represented 95.3percent of the YTD domestic mobile phone shipments. Of the total smart phone shipments,58.3million units were Android-based.

In February, 27 new smart phone models were released, including 21Android smart phones. Number of new smart phones released in the month was down 48.1 percent year over year, and accounted for 79.4 percent of the number of new release.

YTD number of new model release reached 78, including 56Android smart phones,down 29.1 percent year over year, and represented 80.4 percent of the YTD total number of new model release.
