About the position

The Forum’s China Nature Initiative team focuses on a range of nature-related topics, including commodity-driven deforestation, forest restoration and conservation, nature-positive transitions and the ocean action. The intern will work closely on one of the four topics and there will also be cross cutting assignments. The internship at the Nature Initiative team will offer you a unique opportunity to understand the most cutting-edge research in this field and connect with the stakeholders from both public and private sectors. You will also accumulate experience in designing, managing and developing high-level events from the aspects of both the content and logistic.
Main responsibilities
Research and content curation
Assist with conducting research on nature-related topics including soft commodities value chain, deforestation, the ocean action, integrated land use, natural capital and ecosystem services accounting and so on
Assist with generating agenda articles, press release, talking points and newsletters as part of event preparation and community engagement
Event design and delivery
Assist with session idea developing, blurb preparation and material curation
Assist with speaker mapping and invitation
Support onsite event coordination and delivery in Tianjin during AMNC
Support post-event review and debrief through data collection, analysis and interviews
Organize team meeting and support cross-team collaboration.
Update community database and manage participant profile through CRM system
Conduct translation between English and Chinese, and proofreading per request
Requirements
The Internship role is for candidates currently pursuing a college or university degree (undergraduate or postgraduate) and is usually undertaken during the penultimate year of study. While your major is not important, we are looking for candidates with an outstanding record of academic achievement, a can-do attitude and a desire to make an impact.
Student majoring in sustainable development, environment studies, business administration, public administration, social sciences, or communication is preferred Availability of a minimum of four working days per week is required
