Guangzhou Nanfang International School

Guangzhou Nanfang International School (GNIS) is a non-profit co-educational international school in Guangzhou, China, that offers  quality education in English at Secondary, Primary and Early Childhood levels. We are licensed by the Education Department of Guangdong and the Chinese Ministry of Education as an international school for expatriate children.

The school is located in the Longdong area of Tianhe District. The school has been purpose build to enable students to excel in their learning. This includes science labs,  playing fields, gym,  two media centres, a global inquiry room, basketball courts. Future expansion plans include a swimming pool and boarding facilities.

We have gained a reputation as a school which provides a caring environment for our students and encourages the pursuit of excellence in academic and extracurricular endeavours. GNIS is committed to excellent academic standards across a balanced and complete programme including information technology, physical education and the arts. With over 40 different countries represented by our students, staff and families GNIS values and seeks to build on the great diversity of our school community.

Small class sizes and personal knowledge of each child ensure that all students receive the attention and care they deserve. 广州南方外籍人员子女学校(GNIS)创建于2003年，是一所经中国教育部、广东省教育厅批准成立，专为外籍人员子女提供优质教育的非盈利性质国际学校。设立幼儿园，小学及中学部，教学语言为英语。 学校坐落于清新优美的天河区龙洞森林公园旁，占地面积50,000多平方米，目前在读学生近300人，来自世界50多个国家，拥有82间教室，配备现代教学设备，多媒体图书馆，全球探索室，国际标准的物理、生物和化学实验室，多个室内外标准篮球场和足球运动场。 当今全球共有146个国家3804所学校获得了IB资质，其中中国有81所。

在课程设置上，我们遵循国际认可的课程: •IB早期小学项目PYP（2.5 - 11岁） •英国课程第三阶段（11 - 14岁） •英国剑桥IGCSE（14 - 16岁） •IB高中课程IBDP（16 - 18岁） •学校拥有近百名优秀的教职团队，41名全职外籍教师来自世界10多个国家，全部为本科或以上学历并持有教师资格证书，其中48.7%拥有硕士学位和7.7%拥有博士学位，近20名IB资格教师，其中2名IB高级导师，都具有丰富的国际学校任教和培训教学经验。
