Entry Requirements
Although a good first or second class UK honours degree, or overseas equivalent, will usually be required, professional experience will be taken into account and applicants considered on their overall suitability.Prior knowledge or experience of your chosen subject area is not required. We welcome applications from recent university graduates from a wide range of disciplines.

Studying risk and investment management looks at how organisations and investors should understand, evaluate and address relevant risks to maximise the chances of their objectives being achieved. The programme equips students with the cutting-edge risk management tools and strategies utilised by leading financial firms and regulatory bodies.

Studying finance looks at how company managers and investors make financial decisions, how they manage their risk and how financial markets function. The programme offers graduates, whose backgrounds may not necessarily be in finance, a unique opportunity to gain a comprehensive foundation and subsequent depth in the field of financial decision making and understanding financial markets.

    - The two programmes are joint collaboration between Shenzhen International Business School and Queen’s University Belfast

    - The programme will be completed at Shenzhen, China

    - The programme will be awarded by Queen’s University Belfast, certificate and transcript will be identical to the on-campus students

    - The MSc Finance programme aligns with the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Candidate Body of Knowledge (CBOK)

    - The MSc Risk and Investment Management programme gives students exemptions from Professional Risk Manager (PRM) exams I and II

Entry Requirements
    - A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Mathematics, Finance, Economics or other relative quantitative subjects. We welcome applications from a diverse range of backgrounds so may also consider previous work experience alongside lower academic qualifications. Prior experiential learning in a quantitative analysis, Maths or Finance based subjects in lieu of academic qualifications will be considered on an individual basis.
