Scope of Responsibility:
The IT Application Analyst is responsible for the site-based maintenance and development of applications used by the school. The IT Application Analyst will be a member of the IT support team for the school and will act as primary support for critical user-facing applications. As the primary owner and local expert for school applications, the IT Application Analyst will liaise with key stakeholders, take initiative to solve user problems and create solutions at a root cause level.

Major Duties:
• Take ownership and provide expert response and advice for school applications at workflow, functional, and system levels, primarily and especially for the student information system
• Support regularly occurring major school activities: report card generation, timetable generation, after school activity arrangements, admissions, etc.
• Self-manage delegated application projects, including end-to-end software development life cycle: requirements analysis, design, implementation, and maintenance
• Create and maintain system and workflow documentation and process help desk tickets
• Manage relationships with application vendors and engage vendor support
• Provide ad hoc data analysis and projects as needed by stakeholders and directed by supervisors
• Work collaboratively as part of the IT Team to ensure the efficient and effective deployment and use of technology across the school

Candidate Requirements: 

Required Qualifications, Skills, Experience and Attributes:
• Minimum 2 years relevant experience
• University degree
• Working knowledge of SQL & Excel required. MS SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Office 365, PowerShell, Bash, PMP, Scrum, and ITIL a plus
• Excellent English communication in both verbal and written forms
• Team player with good interpersonal skills
• Initiative, reliability, leadership and professional work ethic
• Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, maintaining attention to detail and solving problems
• Ability to independently identify and complete required tasks and improve one’s technical and non-technical capabilities
• Independently learn new software systems quickly
• Demonstrate systems thinking
