I want to wish everyone in China a very healthy and productive Year of the Rabbit.

Building a world where everyone has a chance to live a healthy and productive life has been the vision since we began the Foundation.We are very grateful to our Chinese partners who played a key role in accelerating the progress of our shared goals, not just in China but in the entire world.

建设一个人人都有机会过上健康而富有成效生活的世界是我们自基金会成立以来一直不变的愿景。感谢中国伙伴在加速实现我们的共同目标方面发挥了重要作用，不仅是在中国，而且在世界各地。

Our Foundation has been partnering with China for over 15 years, and we are proud of the work we've done together. For example, safe and effective Chinese-made vaccines for Japanese encephalitis, polio and HPV are saving lives in China and around the world.

盖茨基金会与中国合作15年多了。我们为共同取得的成就深感自豪。例如，中国生产的安全有效的乙脑、脊髓灰质炎和HPV疫苗正在挽敕中国和世界各地人们的生命。

The Global Health Drug Discovery Institute(GHDDI) launched by our Foundation in partnership with Beijing government and Tsinghua University has achieved breakthroughs in broad candidate discovery for malaria, tuberculosis and COVID-19.

我们的基金会和北京市政府以及清华大学联合创立的全球健康药物研发中心(GHDDI)在虐疾结核病和新冠的候选药物研发方面取得了突破性进展。

We're also working with the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences and help countries in Africa ease the food crisis and adapt to climate change with new, higher yield, low maintenance and nutritious varieties of rice. In Nigeria and Mali this new variety produced as much as 50 percent more rice than the previous one.

我们正与中国农业科学院合作，通过研发产量更高，维护成本更低，营养丰富的新型水稻品种，帮助非洲国家缓解粮食危机，适应气候变化。在尼日利亚和马里，这些新品种水稻的产量比以前的品种增加了50%。

New Chinese sanitation technologies that safely treat human waste without relying on sewage and water systems are being piloted in China and several African countries.

Despite all the challenges the world is facing, I am optimistic about the future because of progress like this. I look forward to continuing to work with our Chinese partners to change the world for the better.

尽管世界正面临着各种挑战，但正因为有了这样的进步，我对未来仍然满怀乐观。我期待继续与中国伙伴共同努力，让这个世界变得更加美好。
