联合国秘书长发布中国农历新年致辞

Ahead of the Spring Festival, or Lunar New Year, which falls on Jan 22, UN Secretary-General António Guterres sends his festive greetings to Chinese people all over the world, wishing them a happy Chinese New Year. 

在1月22日中国春节到来之前，联合国秘书长安东尼奥·古特雷斯向世界各地的华人致以节日的问候，祝大家新年快乐。

The upcoming Spring Festival marks the beginning of the Year of the Rabbit.

即将到来的春节标志着兔年的开始。

I'm pleased to send my warmest greetings as we enter the Year of the Rabbit. The rabbit is a symbol of energy and dexterity. These are qualities we need as humanity faces hardship and tests.

在我们步入兔年之际，我很高兴送上我最诚挚的问候。兔象征着活力和机敏，这是人类面临艰难和考验时所必需的品质。

I thank China for your strong partnership with United Nations and support for international corporation by working together as a global community.

我感谢中国和联合国强有力的伙伴关系，感谢中国支持国际合作,通过作为一个全球社区共同合作。

We can advance peace, sustainable development in the better world for all. In a spirit of hope and new beginnings, I wish you and your family's good health prosperity and happiness in the Lunar New Year.

我们能推动和平、可持续发展，为所有人建设更美好的世界。带着希望和崭新的开端，我祝愿您和您的家人新年身体健康，幸福如意！

在联合国秘书长古特雷斯的新年寄语中，他还提到了和平对当前国际局势的重要意义。

In 2023 we need peace no more than ever. Peace with another, through dialogue to end conflict; peace with nature and our climate to build the more sustainable worlds；peace in the home, so women and girls can live in dignity and safety; 

2023年，我们比以往更迫切地需要和平。与他国和平相处，需要通过对话解决冲突；与自然和气候和平共存，去建设一个更加可持续的世界；在家庭中实现和平，让妇女和女童能够有尊严地在安全环境中生活；

peace on the streets and in our communities with the full Protection of volume and rights; peace in our places of worship with respect for each other's beliefs; and peace online free from hate speech and abuse.

在街头社区实现和平，充分保护所有人的权益；在礼拜场所实现和平，尊重每个人的信仰；在网络上实现和平，消除仇恨言论及辱骂。

In 2023, let's put peace at the heart of our worlds and actions. Together let's make 2023 a year when peace is restored to our lives, our homes and our worlds.

2023年，让我们将和平视作我们世界和行动的核心。让我们一起努力，让2023恢复和平，让我们的生活、家庭及世界充满和平。
