温情又治愈！这部电影，被网友称为“一首送给武汉人的诗”……

日前，因疫情形势严峻， 西安按下了“暂停键”，牵动着许许多多人的心。回想疫情暴发初期，武汉“封城”76天，为中国控制疫情蔓延做出贡献，也为世界抗疫赢得宝贵的时间。

自本周五起，以武汉“封城”为背景的影片《穿过寒冬拥抱你》在武汉举行完首映礼后开始点映，预售票房已居月底全国首位。不少观众称这是“一部让人又哭、又笑、又感动、又充满希望的电影”。全片用四个故事，多线并进地串联起疫情中的人间万象，还原了武汉人民的积极、乐观和勇气。在这个特殊时刻，这部影片的上映，或许能为这个寒冬送去温暖。

Amid the current lockdown of Xi’an in Shaanxi province, an upcoming film recounting China’s early battle against COVID-19 is expected to bring audiences the strength and courage to face off the crisis in this chilly winter.

Under the helm of Xue Xiaolu, a female director known for Finding Mr Right franchise, the movie Embrace Again has launched test screenings on Dec 24, and will generally open across Chinese mainland on Dec 31.

Currently, the movie has grossed more than 55 million yuan ($8.64 million) in presale box office, receiving a lot of hails, with most commenting it’s a heartwarming tale that could resonate with most of us who have experienced the epidemic fight over past two years.

Interweaving four stories, the feature is set between late January and early April last year, when Wuhan - the capital city of Hubei province - was under lockdown to contain the COVID-19 outbreak.

The movie’s original inspiration is from Wang Yong, a kindhearted courier who organized a team of volunteers to provide commuting rides for medical workers in the epidemic’s most serious period when Wuhan’s streets were empty, almost incapable to hail taxis.

With more firsthand information obtained from interviews and investigations in Wuhan, director Xue and her team had got more inspirations. 

Aside from Wang’s story, which has inspired the tale of the delivery man starring actor Huang Bo, the film also recounts another three heartwarming stories. Respectively, a food delivery woman sparks a flame with a piano teacher; a retired nurse returns to the “battlefield” in her hospital when her romantic interest, an elderly restaurant keeper, brings well-cooked food to her every day; an estranged couple get reconciled after the wife finds her pregnant during the home quarantine days.

During the Wuhan premiere event on Friday, director Xue showed up with actresses Jia Ling, Xu Fan and Wu Yanshu, saying that they hope the movie will make audience see the strength of love, and wish audience will be more optimistic to “embrace” their lives after watching the movie.
