Summary
WRI China Sustainable Cities Program is seeking an analytical and results-oriented Research Analyst for the Decarbonizing Transport for Asia project in WRI China Office. The major responsibility of the Research Analyst is to conduct research to inform policy making and pilot projects to mitigate GHG emissions and air pollutions from the transport sector. The successful candidate will join a team that will work in a multidisciplinary platform in WRI, with governmental agencies, think tanks, and universities to (i) produce high-quality research or design groundbreaking tools and models to inform policy-making; (ii) recommend policies for the transportation sector in China towards low-carbon and environmental sustainability; (iii); and strengthen capacity for addressing transportation problems in China and beyond.
Responsibilities
Conduct desktop research, write high-quality research reports or develop tools/models to inform policy-making and pilot implementation, abiding with WRI’s standard publication process; 开展案头研究与实地调研,撰写高质量研究报告,开发交通领域相关模型与工具,提供政策建议,以支持政策与试点项目的实施;
Coordinate with demonstration cities, provincial governments, or national partners to carry out policy research and ensure the quality and impacts of project deliverables; 与试点城市、省份及国家研究机构与部门合作,开展相关研究与试点项目,确保项目按时、按质量完成;
Organize internal/external policy dialogue meetings, international workshops, national conferences, local capacity-building workshops, and other dissemination activities to enlarge the influence of the research reports, tools, and models. 组织与参与政策研究相关的闭门会议、国内会议、国际大型研讨会等;
Write communication collaterals—including blogs, op-eds, or infographics for the research products and pilot projects; 准备宣传材料如研究相关博客、项目新闻稿等。
Qualifications
Advanced degree and subject matter expertise in one of the following fields: transport planning, urban planning, environmental engineering, automotive engineering, energy and power engineering. Master’s degree required. PhD or cross-cut expertise is a plus. 具备以下领域硕士或博士学位:交通规划、交通工程、城市规划、环境工程、汽车工程、经济等。优先考虑博士学位;
Strong academic ethic and experience in publishing papers in international journal articles and familiar with peer review process. 在国际期刊杂志上发表研究论文,并实际参与论文写作与同行评审过程;
